Lady Kurdle
Lady Kurdle asked Maureen Fergus:

You've written such a rich a vivid story in the Gypsy King trilogy. I admire your literary style, your use of words, character dynamics, and clever plot twists. What was your inspiration for this story? How long did each book take to complete? What was the planning process like? I would love to know!

Maureen Fergus Glad you liked the books! To answer your questions, years ago, I read "The Other Boleyn Girl" by Philippa Gregory and got hooked on all things Tudor England. So I'd say I drew a lot of inspiration from books I read about that time period. Each Gypsy King book took about a year to write and the planning process was extensive because I had to keep track of so many characters, subplots and themes. I also had to weave everything together and make sure that I left no loose threads. Suffice it to say that my poor, overworked brain ached a bit by the end of it :)
