The best thing is also what is the hardest: exploring the ideas in your mind, and making them appear on paper in the way you imagined them when they were still in your head. Playing with words and ideas and story-structure in order to "paint" the tale you want to tell. It can be difficult and frustrating, but it is also a lot of fun and rewarding.
