really liked it
bookshelves: audiobook

I was never quite sure where this story was heading, which made it a bit unsettling in a good way. Ultimately I was satisfied with how things turned out, and the writing is really lovely. I will say though that if I had to hear ONE MORE person tell a newly-arrived character about the ESSEX SERPENT I was going to have to drown one of us in THE BLACKWATER.
Major kudos to the audiobook reader, Juanita McMahon--her acting in this production was phenomenal.
And finally, I will also say that this book contains what is probably one of my favorite descriptions ever of jerking off.

Michael Tyrer Hi, I have for a while now had this book on audible, but for some reason I've been reluctant to commit to it, so I'm asking you if you think it's a worthwhile listen especially now where all indoors avoiding this virus, thank you for your review and any advice you may have for me.

Jenne Well, like I said in my review, I thought the audio version was excellent. However I can’t say whether you yourself will like it, or if you would enjoy some other book better. 💁🏻‍♀

Michael Tyrer I'll be honest I didn't read your review, sorry, I was just trying to find out what kind of audio book this is as some can be a bit of a waste, you know, slow going etc, OK thanks for the reply I'll read your review now.
