Added an "anthologies" shelf and started listing the books from the thread. Also added a "collections" shelf and start adding books soon.
I have added the Historical Fantasy and Sword and Soul shelves. Here's a post on the definition of Sword and Soul.
I think the shelves as listed make sense. For of-genre-interest, I wonder if we should split it into non-fiction (for things like The Blade of Conan where it's more of a collection of essays rather than a biography) and fiction (for fantasy books that aren't necessarily sword & sorcery per se but would probably appeal to sword & sorcery readers. (That's probably how I'd actually classify the Michael Reaves and M.A.R. Barker books I added.)

Thanks for the suggestions and additions, so far, Joseph. I renamed the shelf "fiction-of-genre-interest" and "non-fiction-biographies" (or perhaps rename it to: non-fiction- biographies-studies?). Hope it works better this way.
What do you think about multiple editions of long series/characters (Elric, Lankhmar or Howard's works)?

For the multiple editions, I'd be inclined to include multiple versions if they get listed, especially if they actually have different content (for example, the Del Rey Elric books are substantially different than the DAW Elric books). Err on the side of inclusivity rather than trying to decide whether this edition is sufficiently different from that edition. Then if there are questions regarding a particular series, we can always make that a discussion thread . . . :)
Is it possible to export a particular shelf, say to a spreadsheet? I'd like to have a list of the anthologies so that I can check off the ones on my shelves, add ones not currently on the list, and search for those I don't have :)

A far as I can tell, not directly from the Group's Bookshelf. If you add any book to your (Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ virtual) shelf, it can be exported from tools>import/export (lower left) or views>print (on the upper right).

Wow! What an awesome banner for the group! Well done whoever created that, and much thanks for including a slice of Johnny Perkins' cover from Return of the Sword!

That is S.E. Lindberg's work! Here are the full credits for the works used. Seth has also drawn the eerie & evocative illustrations of his Sword & Sorcery novel, Lords of Dyscrasia.

Glad you enjoyed the banner; expect more engaging banners every few months. As Periklis pointed out, all credits of the artwork for this one (Jan-Feb 2013) are listed in the Photo Section.
Speaking of RBE covers, did you notice Didier Normand's evil dudes on the left? They were a subset of your/his Rage of the Behemoth cover with the ice dragon.

Hey S.E., that makes your banner even more cool, if that's possible. I'm ashamed to admit I missed Didier's characters - shame on me.
Thanks for getting both my cover artists up there!

Wanted to highlight a neat feature of this group's bookshelf (link)...
View Activity = Ratings/Reviews/Updates of book...but only the member's feedback (not all of Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ). So, if you want to see how fellow Sword & Sorcery fans feel about a book, find it on our bookshelf (search or browse folders); then look for the View Activity option to the right of the line item.

That's a *really* nice feature, actually. My "to read" list is going to spiral out of control quickly.

Thank you Charles, much appreciated. Especially since your reading list has been an inspiration in the past...

Books mentioned in this topic
Rage of the Behemoth: An Anthology of Heroic Adventure (other topics)Lords of Dyscrasia (other topics)
Return of the Sword: An Anthology of Heroic Adventure (other topics)
The Blade of Conan (other topics)
These are a few thoughts on how to modify and improve it:
1)Move all books to the "read" shelf. Use the "to read" shelf about upcoming releases only. The "currently reading" shelf is formed (up to this point) by your comments on the what are you currently reading?" thread.
2)Add more shelves or rename/rearrange existing ones. The shelves created so far, are:
classics-genre-history
comics-graphic-novels [Should we add only the first volume in a series?]
magazines-short-stories [only Black Gate magazine listed so far, perhaps rename this: "magazines-anthologies-short fiction"? the short fiction part may be useful for kindle entries, where short stories are listed as books]
media-tie-in [RPG-related "shared world" or movie adaptations]
non-fiction-biographies
of-genre-interest [this shelf needs a lot of work. it contains books from 's list to Rafael Sabatini]
planetary-romance-sword-n-planet
Should we add a gaming-related (i.e. gamebooks/modules) shelf?
3)Regarding series and multiple editions: The Elric, Conan, Lankhmar and Dying Earth series for example.
I have added the Elric series from the recent DelRey collected editions. The "Stormbringer" book (with the gorgeous Whelan cover) has also been added. Should we keep both entries of the book?
The same happens with the Conan series. I have added the two-volume, Gollancz/ Fantasy Masterworks, but it may be better to add only the Delrey editions.
Many books are still missing from the shelves. Comment below and offer your suggestions (providing a link for the book, if posssible) or write which shouldn't be on the shelves. I will start adding the books mentioned in the anthology thread.
Please, share any thoughts and suggestions you might have about this...
