Hi Lauren from another American expat, living in France. I've never even heard of a book group here, although they must exist. But that would mean reading in French...not that I can't, I just prefer reading in English! Good luck with your move.

Thank you very much Paul!

Hi Lynne, welcome to the group. I am massive Iain Banks fan, of both his fiction and science fiction. Such a shame that he has now passed away.

Hello Lisa, glad to have you in the group. Good Reads takes a little while to sus out, but it fairly straight forward. Have a look at the recommendations part, which suggests books based on items on your shelves, or have a trawl through my shelves!

Enjoy all those old f#rty type things - cooking, gardening (sorry - no sky-diving for me!!) and have always been a voracious reader. Mostly fiction, some biography - rarely autobiography - I've read too many that have disappointed, or left me really disliking someone I have hitherto admired! Not good at fantasy or Sci-fi either.
Looking forward to some challenging discussions.

Welcome to the group Wendy :)
Hello everyone! I'm Jasmine. I live in India and I'm 16. I'm a total bibliophile! I love poetry and literature too. I write a lot of poems. I would like it if some of you could visit it, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you and I hope to enjoy being in this group.

Thank you Elizabeth - already loving this:))

My name is Kathy. I live in central Florida with my husband, teenage son, a cat and a dog. Most of my real life friends read YA almost exclusively. While I have nothing against the genre, it's not what I usually choose to read, so I can't really talk books with my friends.
I look forward to participating in a group as diverse as this one.
