Priscilla Keeler (priscillakeeler) | 1 comments Priscilla Keeler (priscillakeeler) | 1 comments Hello,
My name is Priscilla Keeler and I'm the author of ROAM (Resonance of Ancient Myth), a young adult fantasy novel. I am offering free digital copies of ROAM to qualified amateur book reviewers. Please visit the links below to learn more about it. (ROAM= Percy Jackson+Hunger Games....that is if the cat from HG could talk, and there was a gay mermaid.)
If you are interested please email me: [email protected]
Here are some links to my book:

It is also available on iTunes, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.com
Personally I really enjoy reading Terry Pratchett's Disc World series. I also enjoy Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Hunger Games, The Warriors (yes, one about the cats). I also love Game of Thrones, the Anita Blake series, and books by LJ Smith (especially the Forbidden Game trilogy cause it reminded of the Labyrinth and and we all know how hot David Bowie is.) I do not like Twilight. I drew a comic with cats expressing my extreme dislike--
Anywhos...I love to chat about books, cartoons, cats, Ru Paul, and Gordon Ramsay.

Thanks
Priscilla K.
(btw I just wrote a ridiculous amount and Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ says I have over 10000 characters left...I shall have to try harder

Anyway, feel free to post around on the threads as much as you like. Hope you like it here!

message 209: by Unidragonfrag (new)

Unidragonfrag Hi, I'm Madilyn... I have a wide spectrum of books I like to read and I'm not too picky. Right now I'm reading on my kindle since all my books are packed up (in a grand total of eight boxes). I write, but haven't actually finished anything, at least not anything I'd want to actually send to a publisher. So there we go.

message 210: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Rivett | 2 comments Heh everyone, there's so many books recommended here I'd love to read, I'm so happy I found this group. I've had picture books published, I'm just setting out to try and get my YA novel, a mythic fantasy, published and I home educate my four amazing children.

Also I love the way you reply to everyone's posts, that's really nice. It's easy to feel lost in a huge message reel.

Hello, Madilyn and Rachel! It's great to have you here. We love have fellow writers here, as well. Like you, Madilyn, I write but I haven't completed anything I'd want to send to a publisher yet.

It's awesome that you've written children's book, though, Rachel. Best of luck on your YA novel! :)

Feel free to post around as much as you guys feel comfortable. We're currently holding nominations for next month's Group Reads, so be sure to nominate some books you'd like to see read!

Kim V. Lehman (authorkimvlehman) | 1 comments Hi Everyone,

Love the name of this group! It caught my eye right away.
YA is, by far, my favorite genre to read.

I'm also a writer. I recently published my first YA novel last month (RIGHTEOUS). Took me almost two years to get my first book out there, but it's been a fun experience.

Other than that, I love all things outdoors, all things sweet and chocolate, and my husband and dog--who are the are the other two sweets in my life. (Yes, kind of cheesy, but true.)

Looking forward to connecting with you all and sharing some good conversation and great books.

Thanks Brittany, I'll need all the luck I can get. I've been an aspiring young adult novelist for 10 years and I this is my third, (and hopefully best) novel yet. Traditional publishing sure can be a long haul.

Hi. I'm a university student. I read a wide variety of books, mostly literature and plays/drama, but I spend many summers/off-days reading YA. My favorites are The Fault In Our Stars, The Grisha Trilogy, the Hunger Games. While I love YA, I scour for non-derivative plot (I tend not to like every single dystopian fantasy on the market, I feel like there are too many, though I do like those a lot when they're original.) and strong, independent female characters. I like John Green, Maureen Johnson, the original 3 books in the Mortal Instruments series - in terms of YA.

I also run a book blog: bookratblog.wordpress.com

message 215: by Cindy (new)

Cindy (cindypp) Hi! I am Cindy. I will read just about anything- I have always been that way. Right now I am in YA phase and haven't been reading much else, but I also read a lot of women's studies, history (non-fiction as well as historical fiction), and classics. I am a stay at home mom of 2 little ones so I also read A LOT of children's picture books. I was an English minor in college and my favorite classes were my children's lit classes.

Lucas Ege (louisbonmot) | 4 comments Hi everyone, I'm Lucas. I wrote a book titled The Little Witch. It's about Astrid Lamb, a 16-year-old witch who lives in a poor neighborhood of London. Magic is illegal for everyone except the wealthy noblemen who make up the Magicians' Guild. When Astrid's mother is arrested on suspicion of magical terrorism, it's up to Astrid to rescue her from certain doom.

I love fantasy, sci-fi, and young adult lit. I can't wait to meet all of you and especially read your work (if you have any). :)
