Good Morning All!

The purpose of this discussion is to provide our members with the opportunity to increase their book review count for their titles on Amazon - with a unique twist.

There are several other topic discussions where authors are exchanging reviews or tagging/liking one another's work with is great! However this is not the thread for that.

This thread is for authors to network, connect and purchase copies of each others book(s) on Amazon directly and then leave a review. They key difference here is the authors who participate in this "Review Swap" will be BUYING books on Amazon. The reason is Amazon cracks down on reviews and likes if the book was not actually purchased. So in order to help our authors connect and get credible, reliable, lasting reviews on Amazon I wanted to build this thread to serve as a connecting point for that.

Have fun and remember we are all here to help each other! Authors helping authors is what it is really all about and the beautiful thing is you (yes you) can actually make a difference.

- Kait

Jill Dobbe | 52 comments This is great! I have done "review swaps" with several authors already and it worked out great. We both gave each other reviews on several sites. I would love to "swap" again. My book is a travel memoir called HERE WE ARE & THERE WE GO: Teaching and Traveling With Kids in Tow. It chronicles my family's 10 years of teaching and living in four countries and the amazing, crazy, and sometimes scary adventures we found ourselves in. It is a fun and entertaining read even for the armchair traveling type. Please visit my author page on or on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ.

I'm looking to do a review swop but decided to check the sample of your book on Amazon (Kindle) as I'd hate to end up reviewing something I didn't rate much. Fortunately your book looked really interesting and is also well written. My book, "From Goats Gruff to glory" is also available on kindle and is about the same length as yours. I publish under the name 'Rik Ravado'

I'm happy to do a review swop if that suits you. We could either send one another the mobi file or each do a purchase.

Richard (Rik)

I'm being greedy here but I would be happy to do a review swop, having read the Amazon sample and the reviews you already have. I enjoy SF and fantasy (and I'm a romantic at heart!).

Hi Richard,

I would be happy to read and review "From Goats Gruff to Glory." It sounds like it would also appeal to the elementary educator in me. If you still would be interested and reading and reviewing my memoir I can send you off a PDF. Look forward to hearing from you!

Jill

Donna (donnahawk) | 30 comments I would be interested in doing a book review swap. My book is called Of Stone & Mist. It is basically a haunted house story with a little romance involved. It would be awesome for a review on Amazon and Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ. I'm not sure how this works exactly, but it would be fun to do a trade. Let me know if this appeals to you.

Marcus Johnson | 10 comments Hello Donna, I downloaded your book and shall review in due time. However my book is a lot more expensive than yours, so we need to talk about how we need to go about this. Have you written, or do you plan to write, any other books? My book is 'Salome; An Invitation to the Dance'.

Donna (donnahawk) | 30 comments Hi Hasko, I have another book listed on Amazon, Desert Gold, The Legend of Chinook. I'm not holding out much hope for it, but I would still appreciate a review. I am working on a trilogy that I hope will be out this summer, maybe we could do something with them. I'm not sure what I'll price them at, but if you're interested in some summer reading, maybe you could also look at them. They are YA fantasy. I just looked at your book and it looks like a story I would enjoy.
Donna

hey - going to check out your book - do you like YA fantasy?

message 22: by Marcus (new)

Marcus Johnson | 10 comments Hello Donna, It looks as if we're in business. I hope you like the book. As you noticed I used a nome-de-plume. On hindsight this was not really a such good idea, but now I am stuck with it. Anyway, the trilogy won't be summer reading (I hope), summer is about 8 months away down here. Sorry, but I am not on twitter.

message 23: by Donna (new)

Donna (donnahawk) | 30 comments Hey Hasko, LOL, I was wondering which was the real person!! Actually, Donna Hawk is my maiden name and is SOOOOO much easier to spell, pronounce, and remember than my married name. :^) I see you're from New Zealand. Awesome. So, winter reading?? I'm looking for around July-ish for release of the three. They will be the Mortgatha Trilogy. Book 1 is called Where Darkness Walks, Book 2 is Tattered Heart, Book 3 is Shadowed Hands. I'm very excited about them. I'll keep you posted.

Hi Nicua, I would be interested in a review swap for my book "The Adventures of the Billy Goats Gruff" which is a historical fantasy, so you get the best of both worlds on your wish list.

How do we do this - do we each buy a copy of the other's book or swap pdf's?
