Delta (sicname) I downloaded Bridget Jones's Diary, #83 on the 2001 best sellers. I can start tomorrow, but I need to finish All the Light We Cannot See first.

message 102: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (teresab78) | 1573 comments I rated it 2.5 stars! It started out a solid 3 but went down hill towards the end. Just cheesy and wishy washy. I got it free for review so at least I didn't pay for it but now I have to review it for the blog I write for.

message 103: by Denise (new)

Denise (kitsune816) | 1647 comments I'm sure that's fine! I glanced through the list and I don't think of the books that people mentioned they were currently reading are on there!

For future reference too, if there is a boxed set on the Amazon list, we are allowed to read one of the books that are included in that. So if the Harry Potter complete set is on the bestseller we could read any of those books, etc. I had to check on that last week and figured I'd mention it, because some of those lists have a LOT of children's and self-help books and whatnot.

The bicycle one may be a pain. I think a couple of other teams have had that goal. I know someone used Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin but I can't think of any other books off the top of my head that would work.

This should cover the X name.

message 106: by Denise (new)

Denise (kitsune816) | 1647 comments Awesome, Michelle!

I'm working on my Jack Reacher book now. GR says I've read books 1-2 and then a random one in the middle, so I started with book 3, but I swear I've read this before. Oh well, lol. :)

Anita Reads | 1677 comments Oops. I added it now.

message 119: by Denise (new)

Denise (kitsune816) | 1647 comments Finished Tripwire, next goal was: Read a book with the main genre (listed on the first page on GR) as Contemporary

I used Anita's Be With Me for that one! So the next up is Read a book which has the main location (setting) as outer space :)

message 120: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (shannonbaggins) | 83 comments Oohh, if no one else has a book for the space goal, the book on the top of my library book stack is set in space. I'm half way through a book but I can set it aside while I read this one

message 121: by Brittney (new)

Brittney | 655 comments So what are the goals that are not be covered so far? I have a book for the 2001 Amazon bestseller list I can start if that one is not covered.

message 122: by Denise (new)

Denise (kitsune816) | 1647 comments If Shannon has space covered we're actually good on all of the goals right now, I think! I'm currently just finishing up what I can for attack points and hopefully later goals. :)

Brittney | 655 comments Ok that's cool. I will check back in a few.

message 127: by Denise (new)

Denise (kitsune816) | 1647 comments Next up is: Read a book with the phrase "sight for sore eyes" in a book

I'll have to see if anything I have will work for that. If anyone else has finished or is reading one with that phrase let me know!

message 128: by Denise (new)

Denise (kitsune816) | 1647 comments Alright, none of my current reads have that of course, and so far my finished books have been used for goals. Hopefully someone else has one!

I'll post a list in a bit like Silje posted for the whole nine yards goal, in case there's anything on there someone wants to read...

message 129: by Annika (new)

Annika | 1744 comments Somatesthesia 195 pages :)
Don't match any of the goals (well, it did have darn in it, but I guess it has to be the right tempus of it)

message 130: by Annika (new)

Annika | 1744 comments None of my books work for the phrase goal :(

message 131: by Brittney (new)

Brittney | 655 comments Finished Ink and Bone (The Great Library, #1) by Rachel Caine 352 Pgs.

Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine

message 132: by Denise (new)

Denise (kitsune816) | 1647 comments Spreadsheet is updated to here, I think. ;)

books

I looked through some of those and didn't see any that are on my TBR, but I really didn't look through that many yet, lol. If anyone has any James Patterson books to read you may want to check those (I know a couple people have read his books for this) as I saw a handful of the Alex Cross books on there.

message 133: by Michelle (new)

Michelle | 3489 comments Finished Xoe: or Vampires, and Werewolves, and Demons, Oh My!

Xoe or Vampires, and Werewolves, and Demons, Oh My! (Xoe Meyers, #1) by Sara C. Roethle

message 134: by Denise (new)

Denise (kitsune816) | 1647 comments Next goal: Read a book with the word girl, boy, woman or man (plurals are acceptable) in the title

I don't think we have one finished for this!

message 135: by Brittney (new)

Brittney | 655 comments I'll look at my shelves and see what I got.

message 136: by Brittney (new)

Brittney | 655 comments I can read Daddy's Little Girl by Mary Higgins Clark for that goal Denise

message 137: by Denise (new)

message 140: by Denise (new)

Denise (kitsune816) | 1647 comments Finished Magic Bleeds today as well. I am nearly done with a couple of my massive books so hopefully I can add another couple of attack points tomorrow. :)

message 141: by Silje (last edited Aug 19, 2015 04:00AM) (new)

Silje (sikna) | 1380 comments When they need the word "darning", could it be as a last name as well?

If not I have a book with "darning" in it, Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales, but I might not get a hold of it untill the weekend.

message 142: by Brittney (new)

Brittney | 655 comments I would ask the mods.

message 143: by Annika (new)

Annika | 1744 comments I would also ask if it has to be in that tempus? I mean would "to darn" be ok or does it have to be darning?

message 144: by Nidhi (new)

Nidhi Bhatt | 151 comments None of my books have phrase "Sight for sore eye"

message 145: by Emily (new)

Emily I have At the Water's Edge. Looks like that one has "sight for sore eyes" in it. I should be able to start it in a day or so.

message 146: by Brittney (new)

Brittney | 655 comments To Boston Kate: If you dont want to start that book right now, I have A Pledge of Silence that I can read for the "sight for sore eyes goal". I can start that after I finish the Mary Higgins Clark book which I should finish later today.

Emily Brittney wrote: "To Boston Kate: If you dont want to start that book right now, I have A Pledge of Silence that I can read for the "sight for sore eyes goal". I can start that after I finish the Mar..."

You'll probably get to yours first, either way. If for some reason you don't end up starting it, let me know and I can start mine. Otherwise, you can have this goal. :)
