Megan | 1607 comments Read a book where there is a partnership

Not sure what this means to be honest, does it mean business partner? does it mean like a spouse partner?? I'm too tired to think.

message 902: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments I am not sure either. Stacey's book Fantasy in Death you could say Roarke and Eve have a Partnership. My book Spellbound has a partnership of Magic Cops.

Some other team has put it on as a student and teacher have a partnership to catch a murderer. So I would def say that partner cops would work. Not sure about Stacey's book. I suppose if he is part of her 'team' that helps her solve murders that would count? As it is a partnership between them?

I've got the house renovation down, reading a book and she gets some interior designers in to do her neighbour's house up.

message 904: by Stacey (new)

Stacey (boydsmom) | 1377 comments You could count Eve and Peabody as a partnership in Fantasy in Death, if the marriage partnership isn't specific enough.

message 905: by Megan (new)

Megan | 1607 comments Added your book Ellie and our new goal is

Read a book that is in the "Best Science Fiction & Fantasy Books" Listopia List (/list/show/3...)

Can't see any of our unclaimed books fitting it at the moment but I only checked the first page. I'm swamped right now.

message 906: by Megan (new)

Megan | 1607 comments Our current Goals are:
Read a book shelved (listed on the first page of the "top shelves" of the book) as 21st-century - plurals and minor spelling variations are acceptable
Read a book from your TBR that one of your teammates has already read
Read a book where there is a partnership
Read a book that is in the "Best Science Fiction & Fantasy Books" Listopia List (/list/show/3...)
Read a book that has 3 vowels in a row in the title

25 Days of Christmas Goals
Day Fifteen Read a book that has a religious theme for 10 points! Karen
Day Eighteen Read a book where the title has a Song Title from one of the lists below for 10 points!

message 907: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments We have nothing unused on the scifi list.

For the three vowels in a row if anyone has anything with Beauty, Beautiful etc or Queen in the title They would work.

message 908: by megan (new)

megan | 1477 comments In Silver Linings Playbook they are dance partners, does that count?

message 909: by Abinormal (new)

Abinormal I got scifi list covered, no problem!

Stacey (boydsmom) | 1377 comments Question on the Tarot Card goals--does it have to have the "The" in front of it to count?

message 913: by Megan (new)

Megan | 1607 comments Stacey wrote: "Question on the Tarot Card goals--does it have to have the "The" in front of it to count?"

It does. According to the FAQs it needs to say 'The Moon' or 'The Fool'. "----------example: "Fool" in text does NOT count, only "the fool" together as is, count"

message 914: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Ok I thought it could be just the word, at least the moon is common enough. I have been out all day. I will check my read books for those shortly.

Uggh sorry I had already covered it before I saw this. That is such a good book, one of my favourite series, the books get better as they go.

Oh no worries, reading it on Scribd anyways so its free. Also covers us if we get the same goal (again) although I am so bored reading this. Its just not holding my attention don't think I'm in the mood for it. Or really in the mood to read.

message 919: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments The first one is a bit slow but it picks up the pace and the later books are much better.

I have been impatiently waiting to get time to read Part & Parcel (Sidewinder, #3) by Abigail Roux I know i won't be sleeping until it is read :)

I will also read Sleigh Ride (Minnesota Christmas, #2) by Heidi Cullinan for day 18 and see if I have something for the coal goal.

message 920: by Megan (last edited Dec 19, 2015 01:43PM) (new)

Megan | 1607 comments I'm not feeling well either so a slow book isn't what I need.

Aw you're going to be busy!! Good luck to you, I can see if there is anything on Scribd for Coal

message 921: by Megan (new)

Megan | 1607 comments I think I misread the goal its with a picture of coal on the cover isn't it. How many book have coal on the cover lol

message 922: by Stacey (new)

Stacey (boydsmom) | 1377 comments Believe it or not Bloodfever has horror on the front page of genres. I've been listening to Christmas music instead of the book for the last week--but I'll go back to it. Should be done if a few days if no one else gets that taken care of before.

message 923: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Megan wrote: "I think I misread the goal its with a picture of coal on the cover isn't it. How many book have coal on the cover lol"

It is coal on the cover or the word coal in the title or a picture on the cover I have Coal River by Ellen Marie Wiseman which works for another challenge for me.

Ok that is weird I wouldn't call it horror. I get distracted by Christmas music and cheesy Christmas movies.

Oh no ignore me I've reread the goal for the 100th time. Read a book with Coal on the cover or in title for 10 points!

I think I'm losing it. 3rd night shift in and I'm unable to think straight. Doesn't look good for Christmas day working does it haha

Are you starting that now or do you want me to start The Ghost in the Coal Cellar: True Case Files from a Lone Investigator fits I suppose?

message 926: by Grace (last edited Dec 19, 2015 03:25PM) (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Night shifts are evil. Poor you working on Christmas :(

Read that one if you want. I need the other one read by Thursday as I need a book with a river on the cover.

I've started it, its sort of non fiction. Its like a memoir of someones ghost haunting experiences. Its sort of interesting...

I know but its days so that is better than night shift although my boyfriend is going up north to spend it with family so I won't see him until the 4th Jan :(

message 928: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Oh no sorry you can't be together for so long :( At least you do have the evening off to relax. We go to my Mum's and my brother cooks so I can be lazy.

message 929: by Megan (new)

Megan | 1607 comments Nice one, I don't finish til 7pm so I'll come in to my dad having cooked I hope ! :-)

Its nice having dinner cooked for you isn't it

message 930: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments Having dinner cooked for me is a novelty, so it is nice.

I have updated the goalless books page.

Damn missed the boon window by 1 hour and 34 minutes. We could have got rid of the japan goal. I've had a look for some books but nothing I want to read sadly.

TheBookishFairy (Lauren) I don't want to give away spoilers but Clockwork Princess works for a book where someone is assumed to be dead : )

message 934: by Grace (new)

Read a book that has been on your "to read" shelf for more than 2 years

I have also done Day 18.

message 941: by megan (new)

megan | 1477 comments Is there a way to link accounts?
I have a GR account from my personal email, created before I could link to my Facebook account. My Facebook account was created based on my college email. Do any of you know if there is a way to link them or combine them? I've hundreds of books on that TBR list for longer than two years.

message 943: by TheBookishFairy (new)

TheBookishFairy (Lauren) I'm currently reading The Elite and the text also starts with 'the'. If I don't have it done before I will get it finished in Wednesday as I finally get a bit of time off!!

I don't think there is a way to merge them but I am no expert. I have only 3 books on my tbr that long and 2 of them were dnf for me.

I can only search the ones I have which include a few other people have read. So if anyone knows that their book works then can they let us know. I looked as many as I could and it was really annoying, you would think it was such a common word it would be easy, I was finding It, My, One, On, There etc but no The.

Grace (Calcat) | 665 comments I am almost done with No Knight Needed (Ever After, #1) by Stephanie Rowe which will cover the chess piece goal then I am going to look at some Christmas books.

Does any one have hot chocolate on the cover ?
