Identify in July - Reduce that TBR!

I just finished my third book - Court of Fives - Review: /review/show...
July challenge - Reduce your TBR, Challenge total: 3/12 comp..."
Funny Heart of Darkness is my longest tbr too! :)

I gave Charlotte Wood's grim novel, The Natural Way of Things, 4★s.
It's well-written but the story of these women, captured and imprisoned and brutally treated in the desert is not my cuppa, I'm afraid. But it's winning prizes, so good for her!

LOL!!! Haha! No I wrote the two reviews - one after the other; as I finished the first at almost midnight last night and read the second this morning :) So released the reviews one after the other ;)
It just seems that instead of my TBR being reduced by 12, it has still gone up further! Oh well... what can you do ;) And thanks :)

Wow Brenda, what an awesome effort! I think this month I have added about 30 books to my TBR I will be crushed under the weight of all these new books I want to read/or that have come into my possession :-) I have added a few to my list and I blame you.

Singing the Coast
by Margaret Somerville and our friend Tony Perkins, who has made us not feel like the trespassers we really are.
They are doing their best to preserve the knowledge and the songlines in whatever media they can so we don't risk losing this most ancient of histories. Fascinating. Some great stories.

5) A book by an author new to you: Saving Mona Lisa by Michael Harrington - 3

The reason it was on my TBR list the longest was because I knew it would take forever to read, and it did! I'd made a good start on the challenge initially but this one put me back a good few days. I don't know why Stephen King's take me so long to read, probably because they are so slow and steady, and yet still enjoyable.

Good for you - that's probably why I haven't tackled it yet. I keep thinking I'll wait to read the long ones. I'm not sure what I'm waiting for, though. :)

4.5 for Megan Miranda's backwards-told mystery

All the Missing Girls
Good characters, good story, creepy woods. Two girls disappear, ten years apart. Nic seems to be connected to both.
Can you escape your past? (no)
