Kathy I listened to the audiobook version of Everybody's Fool by Richard Russo by Richard Russo. A severe thunderstorm with lightening strikes is a significant plot point.

Go, Storms!

And the Storms are making a comeback! One point for the team.

message 53: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Bea (gekrepten) | 650 comments I finished Uncle Silas by J. Sheridan Le Fanu which has quite a bit of bad weather in it! (well, it IS a gothic...). For example, there are descriptions and references to a storm outside during the scene when Maud and Cousin Monica are discussing Uncle Silas for the first time together.

JoAnne (joannemwct) | 2511 comments Another point for Storm

Set in England - always rainy, windy and cold!

I finished reading The Clockwork Giant. There is a rainstorm that is described as a 'torrent', and the main character is soaked right away.

The kick was good, and there's another point for the Storm!

Brindi Michele (brindimichele) | 160 comments I read The Wicked Will Rise and while the only color on the cover is GREEN, The Wicked Will Rise (Dorothy Must Die, #2) by Danielle Paige , I'm placing this under the Sioux Fall Storm team because of the tornado, rainbow issues, and other bad weather themes in the story. Finished on 9/5/16

And another score for the Storm! They're pulling ahead.

I wonder if Penni's book was meant to count for a team, maybe the Chokes since you mentioned them, Penni?

message 72: by Lanelle, Production Chief (new)

I did count Penni's book for the Artichokes. I think her question was meant to look for more green covers to read.

I finished reading Mystery of Crocodile Island (Nancy Drew, #55) by Carolyn Keene last night. Another score for the 'Chokes. The score is tied up again!

I think it is easier to find a storm in a book than green cover, at least for me. I wasn't expecting it in one of the books I read, though I figured the Laura Ingalls Wilder one would be good for a storm or two!
