Hiya, Team Caps! Thanks for volunteering to guide your team through a round of BookShelf Bingo!

Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
2a ~ Create a master list in a post (preferably on the first page of your team's thread) and update it weekly or as often as necessary
2b ~ Post your team's stats on the Captain's Log prior to requesting a stamp
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)
4 ~ Post regularly to ensure your team is communicating and on track each week
4a ~ Send them a PM and friendly poke if they haven't posted at least once a week, noted their book choice, and/or appear to have dropped out of webspace
5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph, Sandra or Judithe) should you need us for any reason throughout the game

Morning. Excited to get another round started

Hi everyone!
Checking in and can't wait to start another round of SOS Bingo.

Greetings from Tennessee. This is my 4th round of bingo, how about you guys?

I think my first was round four and I'm been hooked since then :)

I have played every round. Was finally on a winning team last round.

Anyone wants to volunteer for captain duties? What about a name for our team?

I have been captain for a few rounds but would prefer not to this round. Mostly because I might be getting second job for over the holidays. I wouldn't want us to lose because I couldn't get on to do the last needed update or something.

I'm not good at names. The only thing coming to me now is the Skidrow Song from the 80's. Not a happy feel good song.

I like shorter version- just Bookpocalypse sounds good!
But I'm ok with whatever name we end up choosing.

This is my 3rd round of bingo so looks I'm still a newbie in this group!

I like the bookpocalypse one as well.

And I'd rather not be captain as I will be on holiday next week and going on holiday again for about a week in Oct and Nov (not sure how long this will last). I'll still have plenty of time to read, but don't think I can be relied on to check us in and I'll likely only have my phone with me.

I like Bookpocalypse too.

I decided not to take the seasonal job. Well getting a small promotion and a raise at work made that decision along with my daughter and fiance not being all that on board with me working a second job. So I can be captain if no one else is eager to do it. I've captained a few rounds. It's really not hard. Just time consuming if you don't keep on top of updating.

I captained the last 2 rounds and would love a break but am not against doing it again. Am fine with either version of the name- the longer one was just a play on the fact that we have 5 members

I don't have anything against Mary being our captain and she has some experience too.

What do you guys think of this round's shelves? I don't mind them mostly. I know I will struggle with Druid(s) shelf because it's really not my cup of tea and probably would like to take the alternative option if possible.

I surprisingly had a bunch of books on the Druids shelf that I had no idea were related to Druids.

My hardest shelf was the "raunchy" one as I don't really read erotica much anymore. There were also a lot of m/m books on there and I don't read those. Don't get me wrong, I like sex in my books but I just don't care to read ones that are straight out erotica with nothing else happening in the book anymore. I get bored. My preference is 95% plot with a couple of hot sex scenes. Also most people use "erotica" for their shelf name and not "raunchy". Same with superhumans. People use other terms so I had to go looking for that one and ended up creating a superhumans shelf.

I think it's too late to create or shelve books for this for yourself. Once the game starts you aren't supposed to do that. But the first shelf call hasn't been made so it might be ok.

I picked a free space book, although I might change it:

You're allowed to do it before the game starts, as that helps everyone else who is also playing.
