Review: Okay, first off: That verbal ass-whoopin' Stiles put on the other members of the pack was very cathartic. Yes, I'm an unapologetic Derek fan-girl, but from the beginning of the show I felt like Derek was unfairly demonized and it was about time someone stood up for him.

Second, wow. That was a lot of sex. A lot of long, smoking hot sex scenes. Can't believe I'm complaining about that, but I feel like it would have been just as good were there 20/25% fewer.

I had her picked for the first time we had to read the same author, then marked her off for when the second turn came up and figured we would go with the next one on the list ~ Lily Morton from memory. Then marked LM off as well and went with whoever was next up...

Review:
Really enjoyed this. The story line was sweet and the reactions of the MCs were mature and measured. There wasn't any crazy angst; they actually discussed stuff!! Amazing.

And there's geeky side-kick Sam (still in school) that seeks out MC Marshall for tutorial guidance (two geeks for the price of one ;) and gets self-defence lessons from MC Fox as a bonus :)

There's more to it obviously, but that's all part of the plot ;)

I liked this book. Tom struggling to raise his 7 brothers and sisters. He meets local cop Bobby and they try to make a relationship work. Tom though doesnt want any help with the kids and this obviously leads to friction.
I don't mind children in my MM books but there was alot of children i this one, I would say it almost overpowered the MM Romance.

Review: Frustrating and heart-breaking and all too real...and that's what I loved about this book. Struggling to keep his family together while still finding himself, Justin really grew on me.

Del was a little harder to connect to; I feel like the listlessness and apathy he was dealing with after his divorce needed giving a little more coverage, especially since it was part of Del's emotional growth later, his desire to be Justin's rock (and not the more dependent partner he felt he was with his ex). And I wish there had been more of just them and their pretty fast-paced but less than fiery romance in the book...but, it a way that also fit the story being told because it was never JUST about them, and sometimes love is steady and kind if not whirl-wind.

Loved how Del wanted Justin to feel equal, or at least capable of taking care of the kids on his own, before he agreed to anything permanent with Del, and I wish there had been more of that in the story - Justin finding that confidence & independence - rather than being summed up in the epilogue.

Wonderfully touching story, all in all.

Review: Gah, I kinda wanted to hate this book and at the beginning I actually did.

I didn't mind the threesome scenes; in fact, I felt like they were short-changed, like there was too little detail. They read like bad Craigslist threesome hookups - just come over, do it, leave - and since Mila knew Alexander was uncomfortable, wary and nervous I thought that maybe she should have done something to make him feel more relaxed. Christian was her friend...so, I don't know, maybe sharing a pizza and a beer, or watching a movie first would have gone a long way towards easing that tension.

But then again, she did see Christian as just a living sex-toy, didn't she? A way for her to act out a fantasy and then (once the repeats started) get to have her cake and eat it, too. Only, it didn't work out that way. I'm not sure how she thought she'd still be the pivot, the one in the center, the one both guys focused on when she was the one to encourage their exploration with each other.

So, yeah...I didn't like the first half of the book.

But then...then I realized those scenes were from Alexander's point of view. They were stiff and stilted because that's how he was. The book got more emotional, had more depth when Alexander started letting go of his iron control. When he started feeling.

Which means writing it that way was kind of brilliant, showing that juxtaposition. I don't know if that was on purpose or not, but I'd like to think it was and I'm giving credit where credit is due regardless.

And I had no intention of putting any more of these on the TBR (and only picked this one because it was available via KU and fit a challenge) but I guess I will - at least for the next one.
