"It's sooooooo romantic. And Leonardo Di Caprio is Ah-mazing!!!... Not that, you're not amazing too." she said smiling.

"I've never liked that movie because everybody dies at the end. It's so...depressing." Alex said.

"Well, not everyone dies."

"Yeah but most of the ones who lived were greedy." Alex said.

Then there was a rustle from the trees to their right.

Eli ran into his arms, "Did you hear that?" she asked.

"Yeah." Alex said, squinting into the trees.

A guy walked out of them. He smiled a smile that showed his fangs, and there was an evil gleam in his eye. "Why hello, brother." he said.

Alex gasped.

Eli stared at the vampire, fear in her eyes. "You're related??"

"Anderin." Alex said.

"Hello, Alexander. Remember what I told you the last time you saw me?" Anderin asked conversaionally.

"You were blinded by grief. You didnt mean it." Alex said.

"That is where you are wrong my brother. I always mean what I say. I was thinking about not doing it, but I promised you, and I cant break a promise, no can I?" Anderin said.

Eli watched them speak, curious to find out what was going on.

"Dont do it, Anderin. It wasnt my fault." Alex said.

"But you could have stopped it, couldn't you? But you didnt. If I have to be alone, no friends, no girlfriend, no parents, then I think you should to, dont you think?" Anderin said.

Eli realized what was going on, "Um, please don't do anything to Alex!!" she yelled standing in front of him protectively.

"It's not Alex I want to harm." Anderin said. Then he grabbed Eli by the neck, and started choking her.

Eli gasped for breath and reached her arms out to poke his eyes out. She got a hold of his hair and started pulling it.

Anderin gasped in pain, and let go of her.

As soon as he let go og Eli, Alex punched him in the nose. Anderin turned his attention to Alex, and they started fighting. Both of them were good fighters, and finally, Aderin stopped fighting, and said, "I'll be back. Mark my words, brother, I'll be back." then he fled back in the woods.

Eli watched him leave then faced Alex again. "I have never been so frightened in my life! What's your brother's problem? And what do I have to do with it?"

Alex sighed. "A while back, he had a girlfriend. He loved her more than life itself. While this was happening, I got turned into a vampire. But I used to be a doctor. So when Bridgit-the girls name-got sick Anderin called me in to help her. This was a while back, so hospitals weren't around. There were only healers. I was the only healer for about 20 miles. Anderin came to get me, because if he had went after any other healer, that would have been enough time for bridgit to die. I came, and took care of her for two days. There was nothing I could do to help though. She was dying before our eyes. And as she died, I saw the person my brother used to be die too. He asked me to make her like me-a vampire. He and Bridgit were the only ones who knew, because we trusted each other ,more than anyone else. I told him I wouldnt turn her. She liked me, but she never wanted to have a life like mine, so I wouldnt do it. She died. Anderin blames me. About a year after she died, Anderin found a sorcerer. The sorcerer-named Gali said that he could turn Anderin into a vampire, but that he would be alone forever. Anderin already felt alone, so he agreed to it, and vowed to make my life as miserable as possible. The last time I saw him, he said 'Alex, I have to be alone. So do you. If you ever make a friend, have a girlfriend, get married, anything, I'll find you. And I'll kill them.' It wasnt like him so I didnt believe him. I guess he's changed more than I thought." Alex siad.

Eli listened tentiveley and swallowed every word he said, "I see." she said holding back tears, "I don't plan on being dead anytime soon... so I guess this is good bye?" she gave him a kiss on the cheek and walked off.

Alex sighed. How did he know that would happen? At least he hadnt had time to get too close to her. That would have been really bad. This? This just royally sucked. Alex turned around, in the opposite direction, and started walking. Where? He didnt know, he never knew.

She kept walking until tears filled her eyes. She ran all the way home.

Alex had to find a way to stop Anderin. The only reason Ally was his freind is because he cant hurt her. She's not entirely human. She was the only one who could help him. With a path in mind, Alex started walking towards Ally's house.

Eli walked in on her little sister playing with dolls in the living room. She ran upstairs and cryed on her pillow.

Alex walked over to Ally's house. He went in without even knocking. "Um, manners much?" Ally said from her position on the couch.
"This is no time for manners. I have a probelm." Alex said as he sat next to her, and she gave him her full attention.

Eli could hear her sister running up the stairs, beofre she burst into the room.
"What's wrong?" she said.
"Nothing, Amanda. Go away!"

Alex told Ally what had happened. "One, if she left, maybe she's just stupid." Ally said.
"Al, it's her life why wouldnt she want to not hang out with me?" Alex said.
"Oh yeah? We were friends when you told me. Anderin tried to hurt me, but I didnt back away. Then we found out that he cant hurt me, so , really, I dont think she has an excuse." Ally said.
Alex sighed, "Always the loyal friend, arent you?"
"Yes, yes, I am." Ally said smiling, despite the seriousness of the situation.

Eli sister left her alone. Amanda decided to call Alex to figure out what happened. Ring ring

"Wait a second." Alex told Ally, and he answered his phone, "Hello?" he asked.

"Hey, this is Amanda. I'm Eli's sister by the way. I was just calling to know what happened to make her cry."

"Um. Um, I'm not sure if I should tell you." Alex said, sending a qeustioning glance at Ally.
Ally just shrugged Some help you are Alex thought.

"Oh okay. Well I just wanted to find out, because I've never seen my sis so sad," she said sniffing.

"Look, let's put it this way. I have an enemy. Said enemy promsied to keep people away from me by...harming them. I used to trust this person, so I knew that wasnt how this person really was, and didnt believe it. But this person changed more than I knew, and tried to hurt your sister. I got this person away from her, and your sister wanted nothing else to do with me. I'm going to have to except that, but I cant live like this everytime I talk to someone, so I'm talking to one of my friends-the only person the other person cant hurt-and am trying to come up with a solution, but its not looking good." Alex said.

Amanda paused for a second then said, "I see. Okay, I got to get going, I'll call back later to see how your plans are holding up. My sis says I'm pretty mature for my age, but she hasn't seen anything yet." she hung up.

What? Alex thought before he hang up to.
"Who was that?" Ally asked.
"It was...Eli's sister." Alex said, still confused.
"What does she think she's doing calling you? After all her s-" Ally started, but Alex covered her mouth with his hand.
"Ally? Not the point right now. Let's get back on topic shall we?" Alex asked.
"Yeah, fine." Ally mumbled against his hand until he moved it.

Amanda went to go talk to Eli. She knocked on her room door.
Eli sniffed tham in a squeaky voice said, "Come in."
Amanda went in and said, "Listen sis, I called Alex and-"
"You what? You shouldn't have done that. You really shouldn't." Eli got up and went towards Amanda, "Listen, you shouldn't have called him, because now...you're involved."
"Involved?"
"Yup. And all for being nosy."
Amanda started crying, "But I can help."
"How so?"
Amanda told Eli her plan.
"Interesting." Eli said, "It just might work".

((Yeah he does, but he's given up on being with her))

Ally and Alex talked, but they had yet to come up with a solution.

Eli decided she'd call Alex. Ring ring.

"Hold on again." Alex said, and he answered his phone, "Hello?" he answered.

"Hello....it's me, Eli." she said.

"What?" Alex asked. "What do you want?"

"Well, I have a plan."

"A plan? What kind of plan?" Alex asked, putting the phone on speaker so Ally could hear the plan too.

"Well, you know your friend Ally? Well she could come on one of our dates...if we ever do go on a date again, and that way I get equal protection! It was all my sis' idea. And plus I really do like you sooooo...I'm willing to make it work." she waited for a response.

Alex smiled. Everyone, whether they were a boy or a girl, stopped hanging out with him once he told them his story. The only problem would be...Ally. Alex looked at Ally with pleading eyes, "Please, Ally?" he asked, the speaker still on.
"Why should I?" Ally asked, raising an eyebrow.

Eli heard Ally through the phone and said, "Because I'm a loyal person and willing to be your friend!" Eli said through the phone.

Ally sighed, "Fine Alex, but only because I think you should get out more."
"Thanks Ally." Alex said, giving her a quick hug before he pulled back and said, "She said ok." into the phone.

"That's great!" Eli said with a smile, "Pick me up at 8 sharp, not a minute later. We can go to anywhere you like and think would be safe."

"Great." Alex said smiling. He hung up the phone.
"Why do you want me to do this for you?" Ally asked after he hung up.
"because, nobody but you has ever tried to make it work with me. I've been by myself for far too long, and I'm tired of being afraid to get close to people incase I hurt them. So, this is important, Ally." Alex said.
"Fine, go get dressed." Ally said.
"What's wrong with my clothes?" Alex asked.
Ally just shook her head, and dragged him back o his house to help him find something presentable to wear.

Eli hung up the phone and went to freshen up. She took another shower and started getting ready. Amanda just watched her, smiling that she was happy at last.

Ally got Alex to shower and put on black slacks with a red button down shirt. "Finally. It was like WWIII getting you to dress up." Ally said chuckling.
Alex laughed.

Eli wore a red blouse with ruffles and black pants with some highheels. She let her hair down and let her bangs fall in-front of her eyes. She put a butterfly clip i her hair and then put on her purse. She turned to Amanda, who gave her a thumbs up, and gave her a hug. "Thank you." she said and headed downstairs. Amanda followed.

"Go, go, go." Ally said, shoving Alex up the sidewalk while looking at her watch. It was 7:59.
