5 gold stars! I absolutely loved this book. (Well a
At the same time, they must deal with a major threat to the magical community. What I liked about this was how non-frustrating Kate's investigation was to me the reader. A lot of author's will present different threads that are so obviously tied together, you end up irritated as the hero/ine stumbles around working it as 2-3 separate cases. Happily, we were spared that annoyance and the pace moved along nicely.
Learning more about Kate's past was just icing on the cake and I'm already anxiously anticipating the next book.

Yellow cover or/and urban setting

This is the third book in the Demonica series. I loved this story. This is Wraith's story. I must admit in the previous two books I kept wanting to know more about Wraith. The black sheep of the family finds love.
Wraith, a part human/vampire/demon. He doesn't care if he lives or dies. Wraith becomes infected with a poison in which there is no antidote after he gets into a fight. His only chance is to find Serena Kelley, a charmed human. If he can take her virginity, he gets her charm which would cause him to stop dying. Serena is celibate because if she has sex she will lose her charm and die.
We get introduced to a different side of Wraith and his transformation into someone who learns to put others before himself.
There was so much going on in this story it is full of twists and turns, unexpected adventures, deceptiveness, a bunch of steamy sex scenes, and I must admit there were a few moments where I had to reach for a tissue to wipe away the tears.
There are parts of the book where you just lose yourself in the story. This is another world that I wish I could live in. It is so cool, the characters, the stories behind the stories. As an added bonus in this edition there was the Demonica Compendium and a short story about how the brothers started UGH.

Oh, check out my pretty new picture. It seemed appropriate.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was the story of Rowan, who is the vessel for the celtic goddess Brigid. She works for the Hunter Corp killing Vampires who have gone Rogue. Clive is Las Vegas's Scion, the man in charged so to speak and works with Rowan to help catch a serial killing vampire who is viscously killing humans.
I absolutely loved this book! It has a good premise and I love a book with deity's in it. Rowan is a great character, she is witty, sarcastic and has a real potty mouth but you can see that she loves her friends and family. Clive is really proper and in charge but he loses his cool when he is around Rowan. I liked seeing that he wasn't perfect, he makes some mistakes in the book and that makes him more real for me, because real men make mistakes :)
I would highly recommend this book to readers of both urban fantasy and paranormal romance as the story is good and the characters make it even better. I really hope the writer continues with this series as of yet there are no concrete plans.

Good Job!! :D

I am excited this Friday evening I have a bookstore shopping trip planned.....I will be picking up quite a few books....Will be getting the Kate Daniels series for sure and will be looking for some Steampunk novels....

I've not heard anything from daffodil either :(

What other series do u love

Zina's the one that camps some weekends. I just don't have internet access at home at the moment, so weekends are always iffy with me. Sorry about the no contact. I had a nephew's birthday on Saturday and mine was on Sunday, so I spent most of the weekend with family. I did get my book read though.
White cover,

I did enjoy reading this book, but it fell a little short of the first one. Katie's parents come to New York for a visit and at the same time another crisis has hit MSI in the form of a spy. This led to some humorous moments. What bothered me is that Katie missed a couple obvious-to-me clues and as a result made things worse for herself. I have trouble believing that the Katie from the first book would have taken so long to figure a couple of things out. Otherwise it was a really fun read. I'm definitely going to move on to the third book in this series.
