Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments That's a sign of stress Lorraine! Particularly the eye, people who get bad headaches tend to get twitchy eyes as well. And if you get a twitchy eye regularly you should go get your eyes checked, very important

message 355: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Thanks Jud, stress could explain it, not more stress than usual but I feel like I just want to scream at everyone at the moment :(

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Aww poor Lorraine.

message 357: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Thanks Gingerlily... I just think I need a holiday TBH :( Three weeks to go...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments This day next month I will be on my way to Milton Keynes to see my family. And a couple of special people. . .

message 359: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Lucky girl :) Must get round to organising a big party ! Feeling like partying, me :)

message 360: by Karina (new)

Karina Kantas ooo just down the road from where I'm from. N'ton.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments N'ton. . . Northampton? Or Nuneaton?

message 362: by Karina (new)

Karina Kantas Northampton. I'm a Northamptonian (apparently) lol

message 363: by Jud (last edited Jan 24, 2012 08:47AM) (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Big hugs Lorraine!! Have some of my custard doughnut (I don't share these with just anybody now)

On the positive side of things, I just finished another story by one of our authors and started a second! Woop woop. They are only short stories though but never mind.

message 364: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Short stories are the best though for those times you just cant afford the time to invest in a longer one!

message 365: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Thanks Jud, but I think I've had enoug comfort food now, until I hit the soup tonight (nom nom)

DD you'll be glad to hear that your pillow won't be damaged... The onions took care of the tears, now there are none left!

message 366: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Got to add a new author to the list, how can I miss out on a horror writer !!??

message 367: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Oooh gonna have to bump this one up my tbr list then :) You'll have to tell me how you manage to work/write/sleep/watch a movie and read all at the same time Karl !

message 368: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Will have to check that out ! No won't read it as part of my challenge, but I seem to be making good progress, so I might treat myself to an extra book or two :)

Don't write if you don't feel like it Karl. You've made excellent progress, you deserve a break if you feel like one x

message 369: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments So didn't mean for it to come across like that lol ;)

message 370: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments ÓË

message 371: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I'm up to 8 books/short stories now

message 372: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Jud is such a bookworm! Well done girl, keep going x

message 373: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments we should a thread discussing targets and update each other on the progress.

My OCD says it's a fab idea Elle ;-)

message 375: by Jud (last edited Jan 26, 2012 12:52AM) (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I am a book worm and I also read for an hour and half total during my breaks at work. An hour and a half everyday is quite a lot and then of course I usually get some time at home too.

message 376: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I tend not to come on here much when I'm at home. Just the odd time, usually it's just when I'm at work when I go on at home I find it past bedtime and I have done nothing else

message 377: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments hoovers it more like.

message 378: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Glad you said that Karl - I nearly asked what a hoover was!

message 379: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments It's something my husband never touches Ignite!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments This forum should be renamed 'The Black Hole'!

message 381: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I have to admit when I'm in the mood and have the time I quite enjoying cleaning. It's not often that the 2 circumstances coincide however. Must drive hubby crazy, I put my music on (musicals or disney, or both!) and sing my head of in the process.

message 382: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Can't stand Television. Well, rarely. I'll make an exception for Professor Cox!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I don't have a tv, but i have hundreds of dvds, lots of cartoons and comedh.

message 384: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I don't watch much tv.

You're going native there GL with comedh...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Oh dear, another visit from the typo leprechaun!

message 386: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments I also don't have my own TV, but I do live in a house with 3 TV addicts so there is even one in the kitchen/dining room.

I, however, dislike watching TV for the sake of it. I only ever watch certain shows (mostly American), but then it's normally on DVD or *cough* downloaded.

message 387: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments I generally download new episodes and then when the DVD comes out I'll buy it, if it is one of my favourite shows. I'm too impatient to wait for the DVDs of some things...

message 388: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments It's even worse when you are already caught up with the programme and the idea of waiting over a year for them either to come to the UK or come to DVD is just.. painful.

I mean, not so bad with older programmes because you don't feel *so* behind.

message 389: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Ha, yeah probably best.

And I don't like GOT so that doesn't bother me. Dexter though - love it!

message 390: by Karina (new)

Karina Kantas Still waiting for A Game of Thrones to come on TV over here. Greek TV sucks!

message 391: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Game of Thrones Season 2 has finished filming though :o) and they are filming season 3 and 4 together next year so fingers crossed there wont be so long between the airing of those 2!!

message 392: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Yeah, I am tempted myself to get the Dexter books. Apparently they are a lot different.

(and they film GOT near me :D and if I get this new job, I'll literally be RIGHT beside the studios :P)

message 393: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Yeah that is the reason I was so wary of them. I generally dislike first person narrative in novels.

And yes, I even know the person who builds the sets!

message 394: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Don't bother with the dexter books. Well, do what you like, of course but I got the first four or five. First one was okay. Exactly the same as the show, right down to the dialogue, I believe. Been a while since I read them. I threw the third one across the room. Haven't bothered with them since. Rubbish.

message 395: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Ha, yeah I have heard similar reviews. Too many good books out there to waste time on ones that are rubbish!

message 396: by Jud (new)

My cousin was an extra in the series (you can see her in the jousting scene with the poor horsey) and my best pal makes the costumes :o) My cousin moved up to doing hair and make up in series 2, well assisting with hair and make up she isn't fully trained yet.

Oh Elle!! Look out for the cover of Northern Woman that's my wee cousin!!! I'm so proud, she's gonna be famous one day.

message 397: by Jud (last edited Jan 26, 2012 09:45AM) (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments My cousin really likes Peter Dinklage, says he's really nice to chat to.

Edit: as opposed to some of the others who can be a bit stuck up apparently.

message 398: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments maybe aloof is a better way of describing them than stuck up, I don't think any of them are actually mean or particularly rude to her

message 399: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I love that King Robert is the guy from the Tesco advert. Although it kinda takes away from the regalness.

message 400: by Elle (last edited Jan 26, 2012 12:38PM) (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Awk Jud, we know people who know people~!

It's a really lovely place where they film it, and they also go about different bits of Northern Ireland. I remember when they where filming last it was on the news because one of their sets collapsed with the bad weather and someone got hurt!

And I'll have a gander next time I'm near any shop with mags!

& Arya terrifies me.
