What is the Pick-It-For-Me Challenge?

The Pick-It-For-Me Challenge (PIFM) is a reading challenge where each participant gives and receives book recommendations based on a given a set of rules. The assignment method and book selection rules change each month so it’s always new and always different.

After signups are closed, I'll put your names and any extra info I’ve required into the super secret PIFM randomizer and select someone for you to choose for. This will get posted along with the rules for the month.

Whilst you're doing your picks, someone else is doing picks for you. Once you receive them, you pick a book off the list and get reading. To complete the challenge, you only have to read 1 (one) book but many of us end up reading more because we just can't resist a list of books to read.

In order to participate you need to either HAVE YOUR PROFILE SET TO PUBLIC (preferable), or make the person who will be giving you recommendations, your friend. On top of that, I strongly recommend keeping your bookshelves updated; otherwise you might end up with a recommendation that you have already read.

IMPORTANT DATES
Sign up will remain open through to March 29th (2pm PDT).

You’ll have until April 2nd (2pm PDT) to make your recommendations.

You then have till the end of the month to read your pick and give some feedback.

If you’re new please read the challenge specific FAQ. If you have any questions that are not addressed there, please feel free to ask!

Since this is my first time hosting any challenge, must less the PIFM, please check to make sure I have you listed and in the correct information for you and do not hesitate to point out if I don't! I will thank you in advance for that!

I don't know about you, but I am always game for some chocolate! This month we are celebrating the many ways chocolate can be enjoyed.


From Your Pickee's TBR Cupboard:
Chocolate Raisins - Can't stop at one and because they are fruit you don't have to! - Pick a book from an author or series your pickee loves.
Nut Clusters - Select a book that looks funny.
Truffles - Pick a book with a cover that is melt in your mouth yummy or otherwise caught your attention.
Hot Cocoa - Suggest a book that seems like a good one to snuggle up with.


From Your Pantry Shelves:
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries - Pick a sweet romance, one of those books that left you with a case of the warm fuzzies.
Chocolate Fondue - Suggest a book that has some heat.
Dark Chocolate - Recommend a book that has suspense, is a thriller or scary.
Chocolate Covered Ants - Try it, you might like it - Choose a new to them author, genre or subgenre.

I'll say milk chocolate. :)

I prefer dark chocolate !

Kat, I worship all things chocolate! All flavors, forms and combinations! This is a tough choice.....

I will go with Milk Chocolate, although Dark Chocolate is a very close second, with White Chocolate coming in a respectable third.

Vi! You should try it chili flavored chocolate. It's really delicious!

If it's done well, the chili doesn't overpower the chocolate but just comes out in the aftertaste. That's when you feel a bit of a kick. :)

Hmmm...I didn't buy it myself so I'm not 100% sure of the brand but I think it was .

I usually have it in liquid form (spicy hot chocolate) and I looove it!

I'm in! The baker in me wants to go with semi-sweet... but I can't lie I turn to milk chocolate at any opportunity so I'll go with milk chocolate! :)
