"- I know this has the dystopia tag, but unlike the Hunger Games this has been non-stop depression porn so far. Have some pockets of happiness here and there so we know what they strive for
- I do like the dual pov protagonists, though it would've been better if one of them was pro empire at first
- augurs and the setting is interesting
- epic fantasy, not romantasy

"- I like Jespyr, the aunt, Ione & the rest of the card-theft-gang (wish there was more of a heist feeling though, kinda thought that would happen when I learned they had to steal the cards
- the many villains: stepmother, prince, king, doctor. I hope they'll be fleshed out more
