Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ asked Linda Joy Singleton:

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Linda Joy Singleton I collect old series books and love to go book-treasure hunting at thrift and antique stores. On one of these searches, I found a journal with some writing inside. Curious, I started reading about a young woman who lived in Nevada and her fiery, romantic relationship with her new husband. There were sweet moments, but mostly building anxiety as the husband was troubled...and then he killed himself. The journal ended.

When I found this, the internet wasn't a click to answers to everything yet. But years later, when I thought of this journal, I did go online in hopes of returning the journal. I came close to finding the person...but it didn't work out and I still have this sad journal.

If this were a book I was writing, I would have been braver, bolder and gone in person to return the book. A fictional heroine, would have found a bigger mystery-- perhaps the woman denies ever having a husband or even knowing this person. Or maybe someone else wanted the journal and stalked the brave heroine...

All my heroines, even shy ones, are braver than I am. Readers don't live just one life; reader becomes all characters, exploring new worlds and living many lives. Books are like a secret key to everything.
