Amanda Jean and Austin Chant talking to Ginn Hale

Warning (from personal experience): it's one hour and 16 minutes, you can pause, but if you are listening online you can't close the window and start again listening from the point where you stopped.

Antonella | 11541 comments Tomorrow I could listen live to aka Mike Hadreas, but I don't know his music well. Shall I go just because he is famous and plays in a band with his boyfriend ;-)? I'm undecided...

I didn't. I had a meeting before and I just wanted to go home.

At least it was an informed decision. I was very upset when I found out that I had totally missed Daniel Johnston playing in the same location a couple of years ago. Here one of my favourite songs ever:

I started The Furthest Station, last night on my way home. I really do like this narrator. Even though I haven't been listening to him for the major novels, only the little novellas and what not. Also, this is just a fun story.

Just ordered two CDs of the Browne Sisters! :-D Can't remember the next day which two I ordered, but they were the two that Amazon said only had one copy left, so I let that convince me to buy them last night. Can't wait to hear them! :-D

Great idea! I've ordered one too, the only one I could buy without spending $ 116 plus shipping ;-).

I know. It's a bit of a problem. Most of us are agreed we want to be listed, but some of us are struggling with it. And even though we have a majority vote...when it's family, it's really difficult to just overrule someone with legit concerns. ARGH.

Thank you, dear Josh. You are helpful as usual.

But I think that the one CD I've ordered is ok. I've already got your written opera omnia, I don't plan to start collecting also all of your CDs, and you shopping lists ;-).

I have for years. M/M and straight romantic suspense. This is straight romantic suspense. Someone from this group recommended this author and I really appreciated it.

I thought that too, but Vera is by Anne Cleeves. Since I got my mom to return her Christmas gift to me last year, I’m making a pointed effort to read at least one book a year in the Vera series. At least up until I don’t own them. They were too dark for my mom, but since I’d had to order them from the UK, and I liked the first one well enough, I didn’t want them to go to waste. Lol. I instead gave mom the Poetic Death series, which she hasn’t started yet.

You’re welcome! I’m just so thrilled with it. I can’t wait for the second cd I ordered to arrive. Monday, I think.

Do you guys ever travel to do concerts these days? My parents go to folk guild concerts once a month, and your group would fit in really well there, but it’s in NY. I used to go when I was in high school and I’d be writing fan fiction in the audience. Lol.

We still occasionally do house concerts. Mostly it's down to festivals and formal concerts. Back in the day we had two regular gigs a week AND traveled all over the country for festivals and fairs. It was a very interesting time, and I wish I had paid more attention! The funny thing about those years is I just sort of took them for granted and jumped in the van or on the plane as directed. I never thought much about it as something that would eventually end.

It’s interesting to see what we take for granted once things change.

message 5075: by Peg (new)

Peg | 75 comments The audiobook I'm currently listening to is The Secret Casebook of Simon Feximal by K.J. Charles. I think the narrator, Gary Furlong, did an excellent job. In music I'm listening to Uphill Battle by Rozzi Crane on repeat. I'm at a spot in my life where I'm seriously evaluating my relationship. I know I'm difficult to live with and trying to determine whether it's worth the constant struggle to maintain this relationship. "If I were a different girl, it'd be simpler that's for sure." Indeed.

Thank you, I've never heard of Rozzi Crane. For the other people like me, here you can hear her song: .

That's a powerful song.

Peg, I'm sorry you're having such a painful struggle.

I've finally come to the conclusion that my relationships were always difficult because of me--another uphill battle girl here--and if I'm going to share my life with anyone, that struggle (including the struggle inside myself) will be never-ending.

I don't know if that's helpful or not.

For me there was always a moment I knew it for sure. Better alone as alone in a relationship.
Think of you Peg.

I am also hard to live with, so I live with Adrien. But another human? Nope. Couldn’t do it. But maybe I’ve just not met the right person yet. Who knows.
