Resonate, 204p
How it fits: Series book #3
Date Finished 8/19/16
Rating: 3.5 stars
Review: This is my third read through... I think. It had good flow like the last book. The story was nice and funny but had similar situations as the previous book. I will say it started off similar it it took it a step further and expanded the series a bit. Overall, it was a quick and enjoyable read.

Review: This series gets better and better! I loved all of the mystery around the French royals and the Lost Dauphin. As a Francophile it really appealed to me. For a series where so much of the plot is discovered through Devlin's 18 million conversations, the writing still manages to keep me engrossed. The looming birth of Devlin's child also kept me anxious and it was a good reminder of how dangerous childbirth can be. I do wonder if we'll see Kat Boleyn again or if she simply is lost from his life forever. Time will tell.

Wow! I'm still stunned at the ending of this story. I was wondering what the title referred to. Now I know. There was so much going on and so much happened it would be very difficult to give a review of the book. Thursday can not come soon enough so I can read The Revenge of Seven.
Edited to add: If there was one thing I would change about The Fall of Five, I would put the name of whose point of view the chapter was. It got confusing when each chapter would be from a different person's perspective and it would take me a paragraph or two to figure out who was talking or thinking.

Review - This one was just OK for me. There were a lot of characters and a lot of backstories to keep straight, which was sometimes kind of jarring and confusing. I thought Gaby, the MC, was irritating and couldn't relate to her. I mean, what kind of Grandmother decides she's going to get married, but doesn't want to say which of the three men she chooses until the wedding starts? The whole thing was just too diva for me. I enjoyed some of the backstories much more than the actual story of the wedding.

Review: Harry Hole is back again and this one was two story in one book. A woman is murdered during a robbery in a bank and another kills herself in her house but the problem is that Harry was with her the night she died and he doesn't remember what happened. I was a little disappointed in this one. A lot of back and forth between the two crimes and when I got the answers of what happened, I didn't feel like it was such a big deal and the suprise wasn

i read the #5 book first last week and i love it. i decided to read the rest of the sreries. didn't care for the inta love in this one. It was to sweet and I guess I wasn't i nthe mood for it. It had a nice flow but bit straight forward and boring.

No problem

Review: I struggle with how to rate this. On the one hand, the writing is beautiful. On the other hand, I can never really figure out what the heck is going on in this cycle. The details were lost on me. The whole series is just like one big WTF and this was the worst offender. Seriously, what just happened? I don't think I could explain it if someone asked me. It felt like reading the movie Inception - great story if I could only follow how it works.

Review: Noara Webster lost her husband Maurince and she has to take care of her 4 kids in the 60's. She doesn't view herself like everyone and a distance is felt with her kids and her family. As she's trying to mourn her husband, she has to figure out how to live the best way she can. I really like this book, the writing was superb. It's slow paced but it was the right tone.

review - The group has split up again in the story. They are in three different parts of the United States. Each team is doing their best to figure out how to destroy the bad guys. I didn't like the ending to this book. It ended on a major cliffhanger.

Review - I had a hard time getting into this one at the beginning, but with the introduction of Tess, the rebelling teenager, I found that I was much more interested and invested in the characters. The writing style and some of the words used during the "erotic" portions of the book were kind of weird (I won't go into detail), so I mostly skimmed through those after I noticed the uncomfortable pattern. Don't get me wrong, I read a lot of erotica and it doesn't bother me. I just felt like... maybe the author had never had sex before in her life? I dunno...

Review: Aaaaaaaaah! Finally some big resolutions for Gin! I loved this installment - tons of action, badass lady fighting, new powers showing through, and lots of new information too. This was so satisfying and feels like a fresh start for almost everyone in the series. I would give it 5 stars but I just can't with the repetitive writing. Seriously, we know where she carries her knives by now. We know about the scars. WE KNOW. lol

Series #5

Rating: 4.5 stars
Review: This is still my favorite in the entire series and only one I'm willing to re read. The insta love in this works and flowery language in previous books were kept at a minimal and believable. I just love Ben;s voice in this book and how he took control of his life.

Fade Away (Myron Bolitar, #3) by Harlan Coben

Review: Myron was a Basketball superstar in college and was close to becoming an NBA star but a bad knee injury that dream faded away. 10 years later he gets the chance to be a Basketball star and also look for an old court enemy who has disappeared. It was a great book, the 3rd in a series. Fun, the suspense was there and some funny parts to take the edge off. Fast read and enjoyable.

I will repeat that I'm a sucker for sport theme especially ice hockey. I've never watch a game in my life and I plan to attend one either. This is bit of a slow burn with low steam on page action. Overall, it is very good book and still after the third read through.

Review - This book was cute. It wasn't spectacular, but it kept my interest. I'm curious to go read the reviews. The book, to me, seemed very stereotypical. It made Americans seem very stupid and petty, while the British were portrayed very dull and uptight. I can only imagine that some would feel very irritated about this....

review: I really enjoy these books. I do. But I wish the authors would pace the fighting more. I'm exhausted by the end of the story. And numb, too. Serious stuff happens and it's tough to feel much emotion. This book had a lot more cussing in it than the earlier books. That might not bother some folks, but I don't like it. In fact, it makes the book seem even more juvenile.

Review: Two new characters to liven up the series and a trip to Ireland to boot! I agree with others that the repeated links between Roarke and Eve's cases is tiresome but for now I'm willing to deal with it. I really hope we see Brian Kelly again. It was awesome to see Roarke with someone in his life who really knows him well. The mystery was a little lackluster for me this time, but I love Eve too much to be overly critical. I did miss Mavis though!
