When Nathaniel Luscombe isn’t writing about spaceships and far off planets, he's reading an unhealthy amount of books and recharging for his next project. He grew up in Ontario, between flat fields and square patches of forest, and has been a writer for as long as he’s been a reader. Outside of his full-time job, he runs Dragon Bone Publishing with Effie Joe Stock. You can find his books Moon Soul and The Planets We Become on most major online retailers. He has also been featured in plenty of anthologies. His next release is Human Scars on Planet Skin.

You can follow him on Instagram @nathaniel.luscombe and TikTok/Substack @hecticreadinglife.

I think he was a major inspiration for a lot of aspiring writers. Combined with Rick Riordan, Kenneth Oppel, and Michael Crichton, I began to pull specific things out of their writing that I wanted to have. I wanted Paolini's character dynamics, Riordan's humour, Oppel's thrilling plots and cool concepts, and Crichton's pacing and style. I do not think I have successfully acquired this yet, but I think I am well on my way to becoming the author that I want to be.(less)

Beautiful, breathtaking, and bold.

I had high expectations for this book. Like...really high expectations. It was my first (and definitely not my last) work from Schwab, so I really didn't know what I was getting my self into.
