Is alphabetizing your books really that bad? Referring to Juliet when she says she hopes Markham Reynolds doesn't alphabetize his books. I personally alphabetize mine by author so my series are together

There is absolutely nothing wrong with organising anything in the way that works best for you. I remember going through my husband's extensive record collection when I was first married, alphabetising according to composer and putting them in opus-order. I was so chuffed, but when I showed him what I had done his reaction was "Nooooooooo!" Apparently he knew that if everything was all orderly, he'd just listen to the same ones all the time.

Alphabetising your canned goods and spices is a bit extreme, however I know some people do it.(less)
