The best advice I can offer is: join the groundswell of the self-publishing industry. I recently met a writer who tried to find a publisher for twenty-two years before he finally got a break and he is still having to do his own promotion. If you are fortunate enough to have twenty-two years left in you, do you really want to wait that long to get published? If you are afraid of stigma, get over it. Self-publishing is the future.
