I'm done, but I did not enjoy any of those books :( Why oh why did I pick stuff? I'm flabbergasted.

Oh that is so sad that you didn't enjoy any of the books, but congratulations on completing the challenge

I'm not too bummed about it all. To be totally honest Martian Chronicles were quite good, but it's a collection of short stories... so... I prefer a solid, developed novel! Oh, well.

Ick. Similar story here. The two I've finished were disappointing and the one left is short stories...but they're Jane Yolen, so how bad can they be? :O)

And I love Yolen (I'm just not a fan of short stories)...I don't know the one with fairy food...tell me more! :O)

I've recently joined the Folklore & Fairy Tales group here, so the Yolen fits nicely - it's Fairy Tale Feasts A Literary Cookbook for Young Readers And Eaters. I remember really enjoying some of her dragon books as a kid.

Well you seem to be doing ok with the other challenges though lol I'm sure you'll get there and this was a good month with only 3 books to read !

Since my son finished the Children's Illustrated Classic version of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, we watched the movie the other day as his reward. He said things were different from the book. I havn't read it and I do have the regular version on my shelves so I'm reading it now for my Illinois author book for the monthly challenge. (I've already put a review up on the book if you're interested. In the back of my old used copy was a newspaper clipping that I transcribed into my review explaining how the book is a populist (political) parable. I found it very interested and wanted to share it.)

Too bad it's only three letters.
