I'm not seeing any PMs Vicki? Can you PM the mod account with your emails and a link to the spreadsheet, and we'll sort it out

All books for Safezone Group 1 must contribute to the spell-out (check the rules for what can be used in spell outs) and you must also make sure you meet the requirements of your team reading level.
i.e. if you are in the bottom level, only one of the spell out books needs to be a BOM/other team book.

No, just the title
No, just the title

The task is asking for "first published" so that is the date you are looking for on GR (not the edition published date) - see this Ordeal by Innocence as an example of where there is a published and first published date listed.

example: we finish #3 then #9 then #1. Or do we have to complete 10, then 9, then 8, etc?

For zone 3, are we only allowed to spell a word out once? Or could we spell out the word "six" multiple times if we so choose?

please check out message 19 & 20 of this thread for the answer to your question. You can also check the faq in post 2 first before asking your questions( though we do realize it doesn't get updated as quickly as players would like) If you look at your spreadsheet you will see that if you choose to do safe zone tasks 1 you need to complete all 4 or you will get burnt feet. If you choose to do safe zone tasks 2 then you need to complete all 4 or again you will get burnt feet. It will also tell you how many players need to complete the tasks depending on what level you signed up for. ( This was also explained HERE)

It's working now. I think maybe Trisha somehow fixed it. Thanks.

Karen, gave access this morning ( my time ) She saw the request in the email account ( sshh... some of the other mods might not have checked there)

Oh, okay, then thank you, Karen! :)

okay, phew! That was going to be a lot to plan! Thank you!

Sorry if this has been asked - I swear I tried to look!

We haven't quite decided yet, but we'll give a heads-up soon!

It should be two separate authors that are listed individually on the book's page. Like with Dry.

Our team - /topic/show/... - does not seem to appear on the Team Status tracking spreadsheet. If we need to change team names, because there seem to be a lot of "Lava Ladies," we can do that if it would make things easier. :)

Yes!

Sorry, you were missed. You are on the spreadsheet now. We will get the points computing correctly before the challenge starts or when some of the other mods come back from vacation.

If you Google, "school of good and evil + trilogy, the answer is clearly yes. (). Hope that helps

A similar question has already been asked, Jenny. Check the Q&A at the beginning of the thread ;-)
You can read whichever edition you want as long as the audio has at least 4 narrators.

Is there a "time limit" - like if it's over 3 hrs long, is that long enough to work for this challenge (if it doesn't have a print version).
Oooh, right! Sorry, I completely misunderstood haha.
Since the limit for lava is 100 pages (and for WAT the 160 pages came out to be ~4 hours of audio), your version definitely fits within the limits.
As it's also written by the author himself and isn't simply an abridged version, just a different way of producing the same story that is simply half as long on audio, I'd say, yes, you can use it. (It would come down to 162 pages if you took half the length of the original book.)
Hope that answers your question :-)

If our team has a separate "planning" spreadsheet, does it need to be public or can it be private? If private, do we have to give viewing access to the Mod account?

Mary, Mary, Just a bit contrary wrote: "Is there a specific list you are using for carnivorous animal? Asking because Dogs have come up for me as being on lists of carnivores and then omnivores."
No specific list but if players want one they can use ( note- scroll almost to the bottom of the article)
Also you don't have to specifically use this list

It can be private and the mods don't need access:-)

Melanie wrote: "Question about safe zone 3. When choosing words from the tasks, does the sections in parentheses count? For example in task 7, could we pick from "as listed on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ" since it's part of the task?"
Yes, anything in parentheses also works for the spell out in safe zone 3 tasks

Any decisions on what time this is starting yet?
We have been discussing with the mods as we are all spread across the globe and so need a time that we can all be available for the start/end of rounds.
We’ve landed on 9pm Sydney time on the 12th. You can convert this here:
Official announcement soon - I’m just back from holidays and very busy with work this week

If there is a word in the title that is "fire" or "burning", etc., does that count as something hot? Or does it have to be an actual image?
