Hey Alycia! That's so cool that Kathleen was also your first novel author. Have you read "The Flame and The Flower" or "The Wolf and The Dove" or "Shanna"? Those are great. I just bought a library book by her titled "The Elusive Flame". I haven't read it yet. I do the same thing. I LOVE buying books. We just moved into a new place and my hubby asked me what are we going to do with all these books? I gave him the biggy puppy dog eyes and said, "Keeping them?" I'm not a hoarder or pack rat. If I haven't used something in six months, to the charity it goes, but not my books. I have the whole Stephen King collection of hardbacks from the very first one plus all the Bachman books. I'll never part with them...unless someone offers me a truck load of money. lol
I need to google Kathleen and see what she's up to these days. I don't think she writes anymore. Haven't seen anything new by her in years.

Kathleen Woodiwiss was one of my earliest romance authors that I enjoyed immensely.

Sadly she passed away in 2007.

That is the first romance novel that I can remember reading. I have not read anything else yet by Woodwiss. I don't know if I should be called a hoarder, because I have friends who are worse, but I guess I can be labeled that. But I always tell people that I collect books and they age just like a fine wine before I read them ;)

Rosemary Rogers' Sweet Savage Love was the second romance novelist I read when I was a teenager. It was so much more graphic than Woodiwiss. At the time, I didn't think anyone could be more graphic. But that was of course before Jackie Collins. lol
p.s. I'm am soooo sorry to hear that Ms. Woodiwiss has passed away. God bless her! She was the queen of romance novels.
