I have over 4000 books in my room, have run out of shelves so have about a quarter of them on any spare surface, read while walking, even driving (red lights, traffic jams...), and read around 2 books a day despite being in law school and working 2 part-time jobs to pay for my habit.. And like Paula, reading is so much better than sleeping (except for maybe at 6am the next morning...)!!!!!!!

My name is Hope Ramsay, I'm older than most of you and I've been addicted to reading since I could remember. It took me a while to figure out the main addiction was romance. I started this addiction reading the Martian series by Edgard Rice Burroughs (he who created Tarzan). I was nine at the time and the main attraction was the love affair between John Carter and Deja Thoris. When I finally found Jane Eyre it was just about all over.

In my regular life I'm married with a couple of grown kids. I have a day job that supports my addition and a Kindle reader that helps me hide it from everyone I know. No big TBR piles in my house -- just a long list in the reader.
