˥T˥ (siddie) | 407 comments Ohhh The whole series is REALLY good. Though *good* really depends on what you are into. You definitely have to have an open mind to read them though, there is ALOT of sex and um bondage etc stuff in them and that is putting it lightly.

There are 3 books total.

The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty
Beauty's Punishment
Beauty's Release

They are done by: A. N. Roquelaure or you might know her as Anne Rice

message 22: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany (shigyrl30) I will be joining the February challenge, I just have to decide which books I will be reading.

message 23: by Lori (new)

Lori (moderatrixlori) Tracyleag - I would suggest you read some of the reviews of the beauty books before you decide to read them. They are heavy duty BSDM and not for the faint of heart. If you want to try another Anne Rice book that isn't quite so heavy duty, I loved Exit to Eden written under her other name Anne Rampling.

Have fun reading, ladies!

P.S. A few changes in tracking our progress. Before, what we do is go back and edit our original list. However, as the thread gets longer and longer, I'm having difficulty wading through the discussion.

So, please, repost your official list with your progress after every update I make. That will really make my job easy, because I will just start from the last update to see where everybody is in their reading. Striking out the title or a finished date after the book's name will be best.

Hope that makes sense..LOL

Next update will be February 6.

Annie (themadnessofhamsters) My original list has had some adjustments as books have tempted me... PS it's 3 February at the moment in my life...

1. February: Read a book whose author's first or last name starts with the letter "F":
Halfway to the Grave Jeaniene Frost. Same as Kenji! It was on my pile of books to take out on Saturday.
Covert conception by Delores Fossen. How could you turn down a book in which the heroine is drugged & impregnated by the sperm of her sworn enemy!

2. Valentine's Themes: Read a book that has a predominantly color "red" cover:
Goddess of love by P C Cast

3. Read a book whose title has either the following words: kiss, heart or love:
Kissing the bride by Sara Bennett
Not sure about this one, so am hunting down a replacement.

4. Read a book that has a kissing/embracing couple on its cover:
Lord Libertine by Gail Ranstrom (a Harlequin Regency for a change in pace)
OR
Tempted by the night by Elizabeth Boyle
Still trying to decide on this one, too

5: B-day Wishes For our February Girls: Read a book that you have chosen from the shelves of one of our February B-day Celebrants:
White lies by Jayne Ann Krentz from LibraryLass's shelf Read 1-2 February. My weekend is Sunday to Monday, so ample time to lie on the couch reading...

6. Geography: Read a book whose author, setting or a character is from New Zealand:
Desi's rescue by Ruth Wind. Picked because it has a New Zealand character, but set in & written by an American.

7 Love-A-Genre: Read a book from your favorite genre:
A rake's guide to seduction by Caroline Linden (Regency, in homage to Georgette & Barbara)
Stuck to the Regency theme, but went with:
Four in hand by Stephanie Laurens because it's romp-y nature appealed. Read 2 Feb.

8. Share-the-Love: Read a book written by a Good Reads Author:
Bitten by Kelley Armstrong (nope, haven't read it yet) Had to change this one as I probably won't be able to get it by the end of the month, so going with
Ain't myth-behaving by Katie Macalister.

9. Read a book that was published in 2008:
Dead after dark anthology Finished 1 Feb.

10. Read a book that has a person's name on the title. (Ex. Elijah, Megan's Mark, etc)
Annie on the lam by Jennifer Archer (the cover has been stuck on my locker at work - the 'best' part about it is, my workroom used to be the home of a team called LAM - Literature, Arts & Music)...

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) technical question here, but what code are you using to strike out text?

BriansGirl,
you use html tags, which look like this
this text would be stroke out if it put 's' instead of x

just use appropriate letters instead of x, and the text you put between the tags will get eddited

i - italics
s - strike out
b - bold

Hope this helps

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) thank you
