I hope the heroine matures soon. She's coming off as extremely young and emo. And I don't know about the other readers, but I can't get behind her punishing Hawk for "rejecting" her. Uh...he didn't even know you were interested. Just because you've liked him for 4 years doesn't mean you've even tried to show him that. Is he psychic now?

Jesus, the hero is a dick. Apparently just talking to a man means you're flirting and is cause for being browbeaten. Since the heroine sucks, couldn't I have at least gotten a nice hero?

*pinches bridge of nose* None of this makes any sense. Julianne just spent an emo night praying that Hawk didn't know her feelings for him because then he would be aware of how humiliated she felt by his so-called rejection. But if she thinks he wasn't aware of her attraction (which he wasn't) then why is she trying to punish him for keeping her 'dangling' for 4 years? She's completely illogical.

Hi Catherine...This will be fun because I am starting this book tonight too. I hope it picks up for you...I like these kinds of storylines so I hope we aren't disappointed.

Cool! I usually love these storylines too. Hopefully this one just has growing pains in the beginning.

Is he psychic now?Why, yes. Yes he is. Everyone knows that every time a woman breathes in front of a man, it's because she wants him. She goes out of her way to breathe his air because she likes him. Any man who doesn't realize that should be castrated with a spork.
I hope she matures too, Catherine. Stupidity & childishness like that is...well, it must be painful to live that way.

I don't mind when the heroine gets upset and determines that she has to tempt the hero into noticing her, but wanting to hurt him because you feel crushed when you hear him tell people you're like a sister to him? It's not his fault you've had a crush on him for 4 years but have never told him about it!

I'm not writing it off yet, but I felt pretty turned off.
FYI-she does not mature :SI think that the comment that she's like a sister to him wasn't as awful as the girls made it seem. And why on earth is a virginal miss writing a pamphlet on how to seduce a rake?

It wasn't bad at all. Most girls would take that as a sign that they need to prove to the hero that they're all grown up and not related. Not turn it into a punishment thing.
The last book had an unbelievable premise but it was more entertaining, so it didn't bug me as much as this one has so far.
