Jesus, the hero is a dick. Apparently just talking to a man means you're flirting and is cause for being browbeaten. Since the heroine sucks, couldn't I have at least gotten a nice hero?

I'm supposed to feel sorry for him for that?

I am perplexed. Suddenly it's okay to flirt and kiss without any worries? What brought this change about?

The heroine has mellowed, but Hawk is just as stab-worthy as ever.

*gasp* What is this? Is the heroine growing up? Has she reached a turning point and finally realized all the things I've been complaining about? I may very well swoon in shock. ;)

*pinches bridge of nose* None of this makes any sense. Julianne just spent an emo night praying that Hawk didn't know her feelings for him because then he would be aware of how humiliated she felt by his so-called rejection. But if she thinks he wasn't aware of her attraction (which he wasn't) then why is she trying to punish him for keeping her 'dangling' for 4 years? She's completely illogical.

I hope the heroine matures soon. She's coming off as extremely young and emo. And I don't know about the other readers, but I can't get behind her punishing Hawk for "rejecting" her. Uh...he didn't even know you were interested. Just because you've liked him for 4 years doesn't mean you've even tried to show him that. Is he psychic now?

Fani *loves angst* sorry to hear that Catherine:( I'll be sure to stay away from that one.

Her brother had to leave so he left his best friend, Hawk, in place as her guardian. Apparently that means he can place her on lockdown and criticize her constantly.

I liked the first one, although it was not historically accurate and was a completely unrealistic setup. But when something is entertaining the unrealistic seems cute instead of irritating. That's not the case here. It's just irritating.

Fani *loves angst* I know. I'm sometimes willing to ignore the fact that the plot is unrealistic, if the book's fun and entertaining. But if it's silly and over the top, it just makes matters worse:(

I hope the next one's better Catherine!

Thank you. :) I hope so too! I think I'm going to try The Devilish Montague: The Rebellious Sons next. I hope it's better.

Fani *loves angst* Hmmm, marriage of convenience... I love these plots! I'll be waiting to see if you like it.

I love marriages of convenience when that's what both characters actually want, not just a "I'll take what I can get" kind of thing. The second one seems filled with whininess and regret and I'm just not in the mood for that. But the first one usually involves a lovely, slow decent into love.

Fani *loves angst* Well, I love them anyway:) Especially if one of them is reluctant, since then there's more fight, drama and angst usually.
Not to say that I love all books with moc plots, just that's a good premise for me to start with and I usually enjoy them.

I'm really hoping it's a good one, no matter what type of MOC it is. I just want a good book, so I'm flexible. :)

Fani *loves angst* good luck with it Catherine!

Thanks! I'm for bed. Have a good night!

Fani *loves angst* Good night Catherine!
It's early morning here and I'm at work right now but I'm already making plans for the evening, since my kids are at my mom's house:)

Lucky! ;) Enjoy your free time.

Oh God, stay away from this book. You would hate it.

Dinjolina Did you read book 1? It was terrible. At least to me. Now people are saying that this one is worse! The horror!

Catherine Dinjolina wrote: "Did you read book 1? It was terrible. At least to me. Now people are saying that this one is worse! The horror!"

Yes, I read it. I actually thought it was cute. I went into it expecting a completely unrealistic, silly book--because, hello Bachelor setup!--so I wasn't disappointed. But this one...eh.

Dinjolina No,no it was an ok book but nothing special. But the writing was bad for me. And tedious at times...

I don't know if the writing style is different in this one. I don't remember anything specific about the style in the last one. Sorry.

Laura The writing isn't any better in this one. I think for me, the last book was funny and witty and something new. This book took an old plot (that works when done right!)and made it drag.

Yes, exactly.
