Jesus, the hero is a dick. Apparently just talking to a man means you're flirting and is cause for being browbeaten. Since the heroine sucks, couldn't I have at least gotten a nice hero?

*pinches bridge of nose* None of this makes any sense. Julianne just spent an emo night praying that Hawk didn't know her feelings for him because then he would be aware of how humiliated she felt by his so-called rejection. But if she thinks he wasn't aware of her attraction (which he wasn't) then why is she trying to punish him for keeping her 'dangling' for 4 years? She's completely illogical.

I hope the heroine matures soon. She's coming off as extremely young and emo. And I don't know about the other readers, but I can't get behind her punishing Hawk for "rejecting" her. Uh...he didn't even know you were interested. Just because you've liked him for 4 years doesn't mean you've even tried to show him that. Is he psychic now?

I liked the first one, although it was not historically accurate and was a completely unrealistic setup. But when something is entertaining the unrealistic seems cute instead of irritating. That's not the case here. It's just irritating.
I know. I'm sometimes willing to ignore the fact that the plot is unrealistic, if the book's fun and entertaining. But if it's silly and over the top, it just makes matters worse:(I hope the next one's better Catherine!

Hmmm, marriage of convenience... I love these plots! I'll be waiting to see if you like it.

The second one seems filled with whininess and regret and I'm just not in the mood for that. But the first one usually involves a lovely, slow decent into love.
Well, I love them anyway:) Especially if one of them is reluctant, since then there's more fight, drama and angst usually. Not to say that I love all books with moc plots, just that's a good premise for me to start with and I usually enjoy them.

I'm really hoping it's a good one, no matter what type of MOC it is. I just want a good book, so I'm flexible. :)

No,no it was an ok book but nothing special. But the writing was bad for me. And tedious at times...

The writing isn't any better in this one. I think for me, the last book was funny and witty and something new. This book took an old plot (that works when done right!)and made it drag.
