Team Astronaut Pie

Thanks heaps!!"
No worries, ŷ gets weird sometimes for everyone.

So sorry about your car! I hope you can find something that's reliable and a good price!"
Thanks Nanci.

Just didn't want you confused if you saw the skip in Hand 13 still open.

If you guys dont mind, I think I will continue reading for the main challenge and let you guys read for the mini, coz that is confusing to me and I dont think I will have enough books to cover those.
Would that be OK? I have books that cover some spaces in those hands between 4 and 9.

25% of the mini challenge tasks are completed and half of those not completed have been claimed.
Awesome job everyone, keep up all that reading!!

when you get a chance, could you add a read date to Vendetta in Death. Sorry if you have to redo this, sometime GR doesn't add a date when you mark books read.
Thank you!

Nope, it showing as read for me too. Probably just GR being it's special snowflake self.
Thank you for checking :)

Congrats on your recipe!
Great work. 30 points has been added to your spreadsheet!"
Yay! UNO Pixie liked the recipe for Astronaut Pie. If interested, the recipe I sent them is under the spoiler tag.

Our transportation troubles are still ongoing.
Am slowly getting back into reading for the main challenge.
Will try and find books to cover - 0, 1, 2, 3 and 6

I hope your transportation issues get worked out soon, it must be very frustrating to have them continue for so long :(

If you can, great, if not I wouldn't worry about it until you are home from your vacation.
I hope you are all having a great time :)

we are going to have to be very specific as to what books we read in order to find the right words for the mini challenge....
And I dont have that many books available. I want to keep my books for March and April.

So far every book that’s been completed by the team since the mini challenge started has found a home on the mini challenge as well. So even if the member didn’t place the book themselves in a mini slot, I did (and was happy to do so) and can help anyone who needs it.
But, yes we will likely get done early. Which means people can take a breather from reading, start a really long book for March, read short books or graphic novels that can’t be used for this challenge, etc.
At least one team is actually already done with the main challenge for Feb so other teams are in a similar boat. The mods form the teams on reading a certain number of books each month, if people read way over what they said on their sign up form then the team will finish early.
Our team is a mix of people reading over and under what they stated on the form, but we are still coming out ahead.

Thanks for that! Didn't even think to check my last book for mini challenge possibilities.

The ones that are currently unclaimed are:
Pen
Pure
Stomach
Thickened
1
If you let me know the book, I can do a text search for word, look at publication date, etc. If an open spot doesn't work, we can likely shift some books around.
I hope you are enjoying the UK :)

Nanci I moved your book, Illumination Night to 'pure'. And moved Uprooted to 'cornflour'.
So the current list of unclaimed for the mini are:
Eggs
Pen
Stomach
Thickened
1

It is on my GR currently reading list"
I'll find a spot for it :)
And done! Found the word thickened in text.

14 spots to complete for the mini challenge. 10 are claimed, 4 spots are still open.
Open spots:
-pen
-stomach
-sugar
-1

I’m almost done with my book, Full Circle.
We just entered the Panama Canal this morning. Very cool!

Any idea when the March hands will be available?

Nancy are you reading Full Circle by Andrea Barber?
I purchased the book because I think Andrea is a wonderful actress. But the mental health issues made it somewhat depressing for me so I have not finished it yet. I would be willing to start over and read it as a Reverse for March if you want?
Speaking of Full Circle - I must also read Michael Palins travel book Full Circle in which he travels around the Pacific Ocean, visiting Russia, Asian countries, Australia, New Zealand and South American countries, I wonder if he want to the Antarctica as well?
ETA according to the details on the tracking sheet, you are NOT reading Andrea Barbers book. OH well.

I just finished a book that works for a 2 card, so that can complete our main hands if that hasn't been done yet.
Also, I claimed sugar in the mini since it's in one of the books I have out from the library that I need to read before it's due back on Tuesday. Another library book I have out due back on Tuesday works for the other 3 spots left (pen, stomach, 1) so if the spots are still open after I finish the 2 books remaining I have on the sheet, then I can grab one of those.

I have just started reading my book and it has 98 albeit short chapters...
It DOES however, have the word Stomach in it, if we still need that word!!

That's fine!! Thanks.

only Pen and the number 1 are left for claiming in the mini challenge. I can definitely take one of them but will wait to grab one until I have one of my others finished.
If anyone thinks they might not finish for a word they signed up for, just post here in the thread and I'm sure someone from the team can read for the spot.
Happy Reading everyone :)

Remember series number counts too so if anyone reads a first in series, it could also be used for this spot. Just wanted to remind people of that since for the other numbers we used page number or publication date.
