If you guys dont mind, I think I will continue reading for the main challenge and let you guys read for the mini, coz that is confusing to me and I dont think I will have enough books to cover those.
Would that be OK? I have books that cover some spaces in those hands between 4 and 9.

I've sent our recipe to UNO Pixie for the bonus part of the Mini Challenge. Hopefully they like it :)

We only have cards for 0, 1, 2, 3, 6, and 1 wild left for the main hands.

25% of the mini challenge tasks are completed and half of those not completed have been claimed.

Ingredients
Cookie Crust
25 Gingersnaps
5 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
4 pinches of meteorite dust

Pie Filling
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1 ½ cups astronaut ice cream (freeze-dried)
1 cup Tang

Orange Whipped Cream
1 ½ cups very cold Milky Way cream
1 teaspoon Tang
1/3 cup star dust
Zest of 1 orange

Instructions
Crust
Place cookies in a food processor and process until cookies are finely crushed.
Place the crushed cookies in a medium-sized bowl, add the melted butter and meteorite dust, and stir with a fork until crumbs are thoroughly coated.
Press crumbs into the bottom and up the sides of a 9�� pie plate. Place in refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.

Filling
Combine the ice cream, astronaut ice cream, and Tang in a blender and blend until smooth. If necessary, stop the blender and stir the mixture as needed to ensure the mixture blends evenly.
Pour the mixture into the prepared chilled cookie crust. Carefully transfer to outer space for several hours, or until firm.

Orange Whipped Cream
Chill mixing bowl and beaters in refrigerator for at least 1 hour prior to mixing.
Add whipping cream, star dust, and Tang to chilled bowl. Beat with mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form.
Fold in the orange zest, then mound the whipped cream over the ice cream pie. Top with additional orange zest if desired.
Let stand at room temperature for 5 minutes, or until thawed just enough to easily slice. (hide spoiler)]

Holy cow - the last time I checked this, we had completed 5 hands. Now we have completed 12 Hands. Wow - we are going to be done long before the end of the month!!! Cool!!

Also since we are getting near to the end, it seems to me that if we read any books and post them in the tracking spreadsheet, and you dont use them, they must then be lost because we cannot use them for March. That does not seem fair.
we are going to have to be very specific as to what books we read in order to find the right words for the mini challenge....
And I dont have that many books available. I want to keep my books for March and April.

Well, we have 6 spots in the main UNO hands and 19 spots left in the mini challenge left to finish. 12 of the 19 spots on the mini challenge have been claimed by people already. Which leaves 7 completely open for people to claim or for me to fill in with other random books that gets completed by a team member.

So far every book that’s been completed by the team since the mini challenge started has found a home on the mini challenge as well. So even if the member didn’t place the book themselves in a mini slot, I did (and was happy to do so) and can help anyone who needs it.

But, yes we will likely get done early. Which means people can take a breather from reading, start a really long book for March, read short books or graphic novels that can’t be used for this challenge, etc.

At least one team is actually already done with the main challenge for Feb so other teams are in a similar boat. The mods form the teams on reading a certain number of books each month, if people read way over what they said on their sign up form then the team will finish early.

Our team is a mix of people reading over and under what they stated on the form, but we are still coming out ahead.

I purchased the book because I think Andrea is a wonderful actress. But the mental health issues made it somewhat depressing for me so I have not finished it yet. I would be willing to start over and read it as a Reverse for March if you want?

Speaking of Full Circle - I must also read Michael Palins travel book Full Circle in which he travels around the Pacific Ocean, visiting Russia, Asian countries, Australia, New Zealand and South American countries, I wonder if he want to the Antarctica as well?

I just finished a book that works for a 2 card, so that can complete our main hands if that hasn't been done yet.

Also, I claimed sugar in the mini since it's in one of the books I have out from the library that I need to read before it's due back on Tuesday. Another library book I have out due back on Tuesday works for the other 3 spots left (pen, stomach, 1) so if the spots are still open after I finish the 2 books remaining I have on the sheet, then I can grab one of those.

Melanie can have the 2 card spot if she has done the book - the sooner we finish the main challenge the better...

I have just started reading my book and it has 98 albeit short chapters...

It DOES however, have the word Stomach in it, if we still need that word!!

Ill be finishing Daddys Gone a Hunting this morning and it will fit as a number 2 card

We are steadily chipping away at these mini challenge tasks. Down to 10 to complete and I grabbed the spot for pen, so that just leaves the number 1.

Remember series number counts too so if anyone reads a first in series, it could also be used for this spot. Just wanted to remind people of that since for the other numbers we used page number or publication date.
