The book signings went quite well, Carrie was the star attraction at the Kent 'do' you would do well to check out 'The Life in the Woods with Joni-Pip' It has all the ingredients of a best seller! Talking of ingredients, any of you thinking of, or already growing your own fruit and veggies, check out 'Beyond the Potting Shed', The tips in there will work just about anywhere, giving you better crops amd saving you some money!
I'd better go as the 'humming box' has been on strike all week, I may have got it working again, but for how long??
All the best Paul Rix [oldgeezer:]

to live on the wind by Nanette Rayman-Rivera is one of the most affecting memoirs I have read in many many years. One can only marvel at MS. Rayman-Rivera's inner strength as she survives all the horrible slings and arrows life can fling at us. The skill of this writer to involve the reader so deeply into her inner thoughts and struggles is nothing short of remarkable- and ultimately uplifting. Ms. Rayman-Rivera is a memoirist of the first class- open about her vulnerabilities and losses- yet never "sappy" - always so very real. I cannot recommend this book more- for those who aredealing with life issues, losses and unfulfilled dreams- this memoir is the PERFECT TONIC- for those who simply appreciate brilliant writing- to live on the wind- should be at the very top of your list of books to buy.

I've published 4 historical novels, and am working on the third in my "Muskoka Novels" series, set in the 1920s. To have a glimpse into those and to see the beauty of the legendary lake district of Muskoka, please view my book trailer at .

I just discovered that Ken Follett's new historical novel Fall of Giants, and the rest of his trilogy have a similar concept to my Muskoka Novels - i.e. to take interesting characters and their descendants through significant 20th century world events, beginning in WW1! So I'm in good company, even though my work is from a Canadian perspective. : )

There's a stack of work out there but, lately, I'm deeply in love with the stuff coming out from the small press I co-founded.
The catalogue is growing and, this month we're giving away the newest installment of my GRIM ARCANA urban fantasy series, FIXING MR. STYX.
AMAZON won't let us do a freebie (not even in honor of Halloween! Can you believe it?!) but we set it up at SMASHWORDS instantly and easily.
It is a series but the stories don't occur in any particular order.
Here's the link:
It's absolutely free until Nov 1st. Hope you guys like it.

So, if you fancy an amble around, or a read of one - or all - of the three short stories I have posted there - please drop by:
And, if you have a Facebook account - and like what you read - please click the 'LIKE' button.
Also ... click the crow on the treetop (only for those in the know).
Many thanks and have a super Sunday.

Nanette's sentiments exactly, Leslie - many congrats.
May it reach great heights.
The same to Ann Marie - the very best of Irish luck to you both.

My book Starting Over came out in late 2009. It's a novel based loosely on my great-grandmother's life story. She migrated as a young woman in 1903 from Germany to the US.
The story has parallel plot lines, the second being based around a woman who migrates from the US to Australia as a young woman in the late 1970s.
The book investigates the real differences in the lives of women/immigrants/people in general in two very different time periods.

Upon her return home to the States, she taught at a local community college while going back to school herself for a degree in nursing. During the few hours that remained between classes, clinicals, and studying, she worked on her novel, She Who Is Hidden. This book opened the door to a world of romance fueled by history, adventure, and peril that developed into the She Trilogy.
Shortly after graduating, Suza moved to Savannah, Georgia. It is there among the moss-covered oaks and whispered secrets that she continues to find inspiration for The Savannah Coven Series and the various kinds of trouble her witches seem to conjure
