I am reading Passion and have been getting a lot of mixed reviews on it. Has anyone read this series?

I finished and I'm ready for this series to be over. Dermot was sweet though. I wish we could've seen more of him and the other fae.

I had a good book weekend! :D
I finished - loved it!
And which was good, but too short.
Also, which was super fun! Anyone who is a fan of sci-fi romance with similarities to Firefly (Ames) and Star Trek (Sandra & others) should really enjoy it. I can't wait for #2 in Oct!

I'm trying to decide what to read next.

Thanks so much Steph for bringing to my attention. It is now on my WL. I LOVE Firefly and Star Trek both!!!! Just wish I had known about it before I hit Amazon to order the next 2 Scott Pilgrim books for my grandson.....I padded the order with a couple of good ones - but this one would have been my top pick for myself.

It had been awhile, so decided to tackle Mt. TBR with . I'm normally all about the UF, but have to admit, this was pretty fun :)

That was a fun read. I still haven't read any add'l bks in that series, but I'm sure I'll get around to them eventually. Glad you enjoyed it and knocked one off your Mt. TBR.

Checked out Nina Croft, she looks good and yay I can get Break Out in PDF my preferred way to read and for .99c. Yay!

Congrats Vivian! I try to slot in a book from that series every so often. One day, I will have finished them all!

I'm reading (so I can get on with the monthly challenges), (because I'm a bit behind on the Hot Days of Summer challenge) and (which I keep stopping, this series has kind of gone down hill for me but there's been some real positive reviews of Pale Demon so hopefully I will love the books again like I did in the first one or two)

Just finished , very quirky book. I really liked it. 4 stars.

I read over the weekend and LOVED IT! LOVED IT! LOVED IT! I haven't had a 5-star read (not including Laurenston books) in so long. :D

Amy, I want to read so very much! But I have lined up as a "buddy read". **sigh** I hope this doesn't cause me to hate Fallen!

finished it was ok I like Micah a little more, but with the ending of it I am not liking Nathaniel much anymore.

I think Micah was my least favorite book of the series. I did like him better as a character, but the book just didn't do it for me!

I liked it that the sex wasn't the main focus, and there was an old anita moment at the cemetary. (view spoiler)[ But it annoyed the hell out of me that Nathaniel had to show up at the hospital, and then jumped on her on the hopsital bed, and that was basically the close. I've always been against Anita and Nathaniel, I thought of Nathaniel as the little brother type, not another lover. And then the whole part about his entering her.... (hide spoiler)] i'm like ARE YOU FRICKING KIDDING ME!!!

I really like Gail's ideas.

Some of the execution leaves a little to be desired. I think she needs a better editor but overall she gets either a 4 or 5 stars from me, everytime. This is her 3rd book, writing on her own.

Cool. I'll look into her others and grab that one. Spotted it while browsing online the other day, but didn't buy it. Now that I see you liked it, I'm definitely planning on it.

Lol! Glad you loved 'Dragon Bound', it was a 5 star read for me as well. I can't wait for more! We won't have to wait too long either since the next two are out this year and the fourth early next year :D

Wow - didn't realize #2 was coming out that soon. I'll really have to read #1 soon then :) Always nice when you don't have to wait long for the next book.

Just read and it was great. Super funny, just a tad cheesy, but with possibly my new favorite sidekick :)

I have hit a reading funk so I am listening to on my commute and I am hoping something at home will hold my interest.

If not, take a break until Sunday's shelf announcement, and hopefully be refreshed and ready to go!

Either that, or go back and pick up a book from a genre you haven't read in a while. That's what worked for me! Of course, it resulted in my finding my way back to GR and into this group.....some might say that was a good thing. My family isn't so sure!

Gotta make it an early night tonight. Found out about 4 hours ago that the stamp audit has been changed to tomorrow AM. That means I have to be at work no later than 5 AM......and awake enough to count all those blasted stamps!

I'm reading which I got from NetGalley. It's just okay so far. I'm not feelin' the characters, which is outta the norm for me and Gena's past writing. Hoping it'll pick up.

I was in a bit of a reading slump as well. I started , and . The latter two are actually very good, but I just couldn't seem to read more than a couple of chapters before my mind wandered off.
Yesterday I bought and started reading it on the bus home and couldn't put it down. It was a great story and I'm hoping to be back in the land of the reading obsessed :)

I have heard so many good things about Dragon Bound that I can't wait to read it!
I'm currently on a Warriors of Poseidon roll and am starting .

I finished and whilst I like Jill Myles writing style I am just OVER THE LOVE TRIANGLE!!!!!!

This is the 3rd book of the triangle and if there are any others in this series I won't be reading them!

On a lighter note, I did like the teaser in the back of the book Midnight Liasons, a new series by Jill. Doesn't look to be a triangle *fingers crossed*

ETA: Jill looks to be writing under another name for this book and she's called the series Midnight Liasons.

Read . I love Patricia Briggs, her books rock my socks! Must do some Mercy re-reads soon...

Vivian, I just love A&O books, I've re-read them a few times now.

I was hesitant to read them, hearing they were higher romance content than the Mercy books, but I really really enjoyed them. Of course, I just read and liked that too, so maybe I'm coming around to the romance stuff.

Finished yesterday. I really liked it, with one major reservation. I'm going to try and finish the quartet soon.

I've read the 4 Darkness Chosen books. It's been awhile, but I did like them. I have the next quartet, The Chosen Ones, but I haven't started them yet.



really IS a disturbing look at the future. Not really the kind of book you can say "I liked it." But I'm glad I read it.

Truthseeker is pretty good so far. The action is just getting started! If I wasn't so tired I'd probably be up until the wee hours reading....
